في أجواء احتفالية رسمية جمعت قيادات رابطة العالم الإسلامي وعدداً من الشخصيات الإسلامية البارزة، دشَّن الأمين العام، رئيس هيئة علماء المسلمين، الشيخ الدكتور محمد العيسى، الخطة الإستراتيجية «المطوَّرة» والحوكمة «المُحدَّثة» للرابطة، وذلك بمقرها الرئيسي في مكة المكرمة.
جاء هذا التدشين مواكباً للتحولات النوعية في مهام الرابطة، لا سيما اتساع برامجها الدولية، وفي مقدمتها جهود تفعيل «وثيقة مكة المكرمة»، و«وثيقة بناء الجسور بين المذاهب الإسلامية»، اللتان تمثلان ركيزتين أساسيتين في خطاب الاعتدال والوحدة والتقارب.
وفي كلمته الافتتاحية، أوضح الدكتور العيسى أن عملية التطوير الإستراتيجي والتحديث في الحوكمة تهدف إلى تعزيز رؤية الرابطة ورسالتها وقيمها، بما يواكب المستجدات العالمية ويخدم الأهداف الإسلامية السامية.
وشدَّد على أن المبادئ التي تأسست عليها الرابطة منذ انطلاقها تظلُّ ركائز راسخة، تُسخَّر لها الإمكانات والخطط لتظل مؤثرة وفاعلة في المشهدين الإسلامي والدولي.
وتأتي هذه الخطوة ضمن مسار شامل تعمل من خلاله الرابطة على تحديث أدواتها، وتوسيع شراكاتها، وتفعيل أدوارها في نشر قيم السلام والتفاهم والتعايش بين الشعوب والثقافات.
In a formal celebratory atmosphere, leaders of the Muslim World League and a number of prominent Islamic figures gathered for the launch of the "developed" strategic plan and the "updated" governance of the league, by the Secretary-General, Chairman of the Muslim Scholars Association, Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa, at its headquarters in Mecca.
This launch coincided with the qualitative transformations in the league's missions, particularly the expansion of its international programs, foremost among them the efforts to activate the "Makkah Document" and the "Document for Building Bridges Between Islamic Sects," which represent two essential pillars in the discourse of moderation, unity, and rapprochement.
In his opening speech, Dr. Al-Issa clarified that the strategic development and governance updates aim to enhance the league's vision, message, and values, in line with global developments and to serve noble Islamic objectives.
He emphasized that the principles upon which the league was founded remain steadfast pillars, with resources and plans dedicated to ensuring it remains influential and effective in both the Islamic and international arenas.
This step is part of a comprehensive path through which the league is working to update its tools, expand its partnerships, and activate its roles in promoting values of peace, understanding, and coexistence among peoples and cultures.
