ارتفع مؤشر الرقم القياسي لكميات الإنتاج الصناعي بنسبة (1.5%) خلال شهر مايو من عام 2025 مقارنةً بالشهر المماثل من العام السابق في مايو 2024، مدعوماً بارتفاع نشاط التعدين واستغلال المحاجر، ونشاط الصناعة التحويلية، ونشاط إمدادات المياه، وأنشطة الصرف الصحي، وإدارة النفايات ومعالجتها، وذلك وفقاً لنشرة الرقم القياسي للإنتاج الصناعي الصادرة من الهيئة العامة للإحصاء.
وأظهرت نتائج النشرة ارتفاع مؤشر الرقم القياسي الفرعي لنشاط التعدين واستغلال المحاجر بنسبة (2.1%) ومؤشر الرقم القياسي الفرعي لنشاط الصناعة التحويلية بنسبة (0.9%) على أساس سنوي. وأفادت النتائج بانخفاض الرقم القياسي الفرعي لنشاط إمدادات الكهرباء والغاز والبخار وتكييف الهواء بنسبة (7.7%)، وارتفاع الرقم القياسي الفرعي لنشاط إمدادات المياه وأنشطة الصرف الصحي وأنشطة إدارة النفايات ومعالجتها بنسبة (15.5%)، وذلك مقارنة بشهر مايو من العام السابق.
وأشارت إلى ارتفاع سنوي في أداء كل من مؤشر الرقم القياسي للأنشطة النفطية، ومؤشر الرقم القياسي للأنشطة غير النفطية بنسبة (0.5%) و(3.8%) على التوالي.
يشار إلى أن الهيئة العامة للإحصاء تصدر مؤشر الرقم القياسي للإنتاج الصناعي بشكل شهري؛ لقياس التغيرات النسبية في كميات الإنتاج الصناعي، استناداً إلى بيانات مسح الإنتاج الصناعي، الذي يُنفذ على عينة مختارة من المنشآت العاملة في القطاعات الصناعية المستهدفة، وتشمل: نشاط التعدين واستغلال المحاجر، ونشاط الصناعة التحويلية، ونشاط إمدادات الكهرباء، والغاز والبخار وتكييف الهواء، ونشاط إمدادات المياه، والصرف الصحي، وإدارة النفايات ومعالجتها.
The industrial production index increased by (1.5%) during May 2025 compared to the same month of the previous year in May 2024, supported by an increase in mining and quarrying activities, manufacturing activities, water supply activities, sewage activities, and waste management and treatment activities, according to the industrial production index bulletin issued by the General Authority for Statistics.
The bulletin's results showed an increase in the sub-index for mining and quarrying activities by (2.1%) and the sub-index for manufacturing activities by (0.9%) on a year-on-year basis. The results indicated a decrease in the sub-index for electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply activities by (7.7%), while the sub-index for water supply, sewage activities, and waste management and treatment activities increased by (15.5%), compared to May of the previous year.
It noted an annual increase in the performance of both the oil activities index and the non-oil activities index by (0.5%) and (3.8%) respectively.
It is worth mentioning that the General Authority for Statistics issues the industrial production index monthly to measure the relative changes in industrial production quantities, based on data from the industrial production survey, which is conducted on a selected sample of establishments operating in the targeted industrial sectors, including: mining and quarrying activities, manufacturing activities, electricity supply activities, gas, steam, and air conditioning, water supply activities, sewage, and waste management and treatment.
