30 مليون دولار من المملكة لدعم فلسطين
The Palestinian Minister of Finance, Omar Al-Bitar, received today (Thursday) in the Jordanian capital, Amman, a financial payment from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia amounting to 30 million dollars, as part of its ongoing support for the State of Palestine for the year 2025. The payment was delivered at the Saudi Embassy in Amman during a meeting between Minister Al-Bitar and the Chargé d'Affaires ad interim at the Saudi Embassy in Jordan, Mohammed bin Hassan Munees. The Palestinian minister praised the continuous financial and political support from the Kingdom, emphasizing the importance of this contribution in alleviating the severity of the financial crisis faced by the State of Palestine in light of recent Israeli policies. He expressed his deep appreciation for the Kingdom's steadfast historical position towards Palestine and its people, supporting their legitimate rights and the establishment of their independent state.
Minister Al-Bitar conveyed the greetings of President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Mohammed Mustafa to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, for their ongoing political, economic, and humanitarian support. For his part, the Chargé d'Affaires ad interim at the Saudi Embassy, Munees, explained that this payment comes as part of the Kingdom's commitment to support the Palestinian government and enable it to meet its financial obligations, pointing out the importance of this assistance in enhancing the resilience of the Palestinian people and alleviating their suffering in the face of economic and humanitarian challenges. He noted that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has provided about 5.3 billion dollars over the past years, which included humanitarian, relief, and developmental assistance as part of its support for the State of Palestine, reaffirming its steadfast commitment to supporting the rights of the Palestinian people.
