التقى أمير منطقة جازان الأمير محمد بن عبدالعزيز بن محمد بن عبدالعزيز، في مكتبه بالإمارة اليوم، الرئيس التنفيذي للشركة السعودية للقهوة المهندس خالد بن ناصر أبو ذيب والوفد المرافق.
واستمع لشرح مفصل من الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة القهوة، حول أهم الإنجازات والمبادرات للشركة، وعدد أشجار البن المزروعة من قبل الشركة التي بلغت أكثر من 600 ألف شجرة، وسير العمل بمشروع مصنع الشركة السعودية للقهوة بمدينة جازان للصناعات الأساسية والتحويلية، والمخطط تدشينه وبدء الإنتاج التجاري في الربع الرابع من عام 2025م.
واطلع أمير جازان على خطط الشركة في تمكين مزارعي البن في المناطق الجنوبية عبر إطلاق برنامج «حصاد» التابع للشركة السعودية للقهوة الذي يعنى بتطوير زراعة البن وتمكين المزارعين بهدف زيادة الإنتاج المحلي ورفع الجودة، من خلال قيام أكاديمية الشركة المساهمة بتدريب الكفاءات الوطنية في قطاع القهوة على جميع مراحل سلاسل الإمداد.
وأشاد بما تنفذه الشركة السعودية للقهوة من مشاريع تهدف إلى تعزيز جهود تطوير زراعة البن والرفع من جودته في المنطقة، وإيجاد فرص عمل جديدة لأبنائها، وتعزيز صناعة القهوة في المنطقة، مما ينعكس على تنوع الاقتصاد الوطني والإسهام في تحقيق مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030.
ووجه بالعمل والتعاون الجاد من قبل الشركة والجهات المعنية في مواجهة التحديات الخاصة بزراعة البن في مشاريع استدامة المصادر المائية وتوفير البنية التحتية الخاصة بزراعة البن.
The Emir of the Jazan region, Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Abdulaziz, met today in his office at the emirate with the CEO of the Saudi Coffee Company, Engineer Khalid bin Nasser Abu Dheeb, and the accompanying delegation.
He listened to a detailed explanation from the CEO of the coffee company regarding the most important achievements and initiatives of the company, including the number of coffee trees planted by the company, which has exceeded 600,000 trees, and the progress of the Saudi Coffee Company's factory project in Jazan for basic and transformative industries, which is planned to be inaugurated and to start commercial production in the fourth quarter of 2025.
The Emir of Jazan was briefed on the company's plans to empower coffee farmers in the southern regions through the launch of the "Harvest" program, which is affiliated with the Saudi Coffee Company and focuses on developing coffee cultivation and empowering farmers with the aim of increasing local production and improving quality. This will be achieved through the company's academy, which contributes to training national talents in the coffee sector across all stages of the supply chain.
He praised the projects being implemented by the Saudi Coffee Company, which aim to enhance efforts to develop coffee cultivation and improve its quality in the region, create new job opportunities for its residents, and strengthen the coffee industry in the area, reflecting positively on the diversification of the national economy and contributing to achieving the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
He directed that serious work and cooperation be undertaken by the company and the relevant authorities to address the challenges related to coffee cultivation in sustainable water resource projects and to provide the necessary infrastructure for coffee cultivation.
