انطلقت اليوم أعمال الوفد السعودي المُشارك في مؤتمر BIO الدولي للتقنية الحيوية 2025، من خلال جناح وطني تقوده وزارة الصحة، ويضم أكثر من 25 جهة حكومية وخاصة وبحثية، بما يدعم تحقيق مستهدفات الإستراتيجية الوطنية للتقنية الحيوية التي أطلقها ولي العهد الأمير محمد بن سلمان.
وترأس الوفدَ السعودي المُشارك نائب وزير الصحة للتخطيط والتطوير المهندس عبدالعزيز بن حمد الرميح، في إطار جهود المنظومة الصحية لتعزيز التعاون الدولي بما يرسّخ مكانة المملكة مركزاً إقليميّاً رائداً في التقنية الحيوية.
ويستعرض الجناح السعودي أبرز المبادرات الوطنية في مجالات البحث والتقنية الحيوية، إضافة إلى الفرص الاستثمارية والإمكانات البحثية؛ لتسليط الضوء على جهود المملكة في دعم الابتكار الصحي، وتعزيز الاستثمار في الأبحاث الإكلينيكية والتقنيات الحيوية، بما يرفع من كفاءة الخدمات الصحية المُقدمة، انسجاماً مع مستهدفات «برنامج تحول القطاع الصحي» المنبثقة عن رؤية المملكة 2030، التي تسعى إلى بناء «مجتمع حيوي» و«اقتصاد مزدهر» وصولاً إلى مستقبل صحي مستدام.
ويُعد مؤتمر BIO International Convention الحدث الأضخم عالميّاً في مجال التقنية الحيوية، ويُعقد هذا العام في مدينة بوسطن الأمريكية خلال الفترة من 16 إلى 19 يونيو 2025، بمشاركة واسعة من المؤسسات الصحية والبحثية والشركات العالمية، ويشكّل منصة دولية؛ لتبادل المعرفة واستعراض الابتكارات والشراكات في مجالات التقنية الحيوية.
The work of the Saudi delegation participating in the BIO International Convention on Biotechnology 2025 commenced today, through a national pavilion led by the Ministry of Health, which includes more than 25 governmental, private, and research entities, supporting the achievement of the objectives of the national biotechnology strategy launched by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
The Saudi delegation is chaired by the Deputy Minister of Health for Planning and Development, Engineer Abdulaziz bin Hamad Al-Rumaih, as part of the health system's efforts to enhance international cooperation, solidifying the Kingdom's position as a leading regional center in biotechnology.
The Saudi pavilion showcases the most prominent national initiatives in the fields of research and biotechnology, in addition to investment opportunities and research capabilities; highlighting the Kingdom's efforts in supporting health innovation and enhancing investment in clinical research and biotechnology, thereby improving the efficiency of health services provided, in line with the objectives of the "Health Sector Transformation Program" derived from the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which aims to build a "vibrant society" and a "thriving economy" leading to a sustainable healthy future.
The BIO International Convention is the largest global event in the field of biotechnology, taking place this year in Boston, USA, from June 16 to 19, 2025, with wide participation from health and research institutions and global companies, forming an international platform for knowledge exchange and showcasing innovations and partnerships in the fields of biotechnology.
