تشهد أسواق جدة التاريخية توافد الحجاج المغادرين من مختلف الجنسيات؛ للتسوق والتجول وزيارة المعالم الاقتصادية والتاريخية بالمنطقة، قبيل عودتهم إلى بلدانهم سالمين بعد أن منّ الله عليهم بقضاء نسكهم في يسر وطمأنينة.
وتعد زيارة الحجيج للمنطقة التاريخية من العادات التي يحرص عليها معظم الحجاج قبل المغادرة إلى بلدانهم، لما توفره من مقتنيات تراثية يحرص الحجاج على اقتنائها وإهدائها لأهاليهم وذويهم.
ومن أبرز مشتريات المتسوقين السجاد والمسابح والأحجار الكريمة التي تحمل صور الكعبة أو المسجد الحرام والمسجد النبوي، وأنواع مختلفة من التمور والأقمشة، إلى جانب المقتنيات القديمة واللوحات التي تضم آيات قرآنية وصور الحرمين الشريفين والمشاعر المقدسة، التي تمثل لهم ذكريات جميلة يتمنون العودة لها في المستقبل.
وحرص الحجاج على التواجد في منطقة «البلد»؛ للتسوق، إلى جانب زيارة معالم جدة، والاستمتاع بقضاء الوقت في الواجهة البحرية، وحضور عدد من الفعاليات المقامة حاليّاً، ومشاهدة نافورة جدة التي تعد من أبرز المعالم فيها، وتوثيق ذلك بالتقاط الصور التذكارية.
وعبّر الحجاج عن سعادتهم بزيارة المملكة لأداء فريضة الحج، وزيارة معالمها المتنوعة قبيل مغادرتهم لبلدانهم، متمنين في الوقت ذاته إعادة الرحلة الإيمانية لما لها من وقع كبير في نفوسهم، إلى جانب حرصهم على استغلال مواعيد جدولة رحلاتهم في زيارة أبرز معالم مدينة جدة التراثية والثقافية وأسواقها ومراكزها التي تزخر بالتنوع التراثي.

Visiting the historic area is one of the customs that most pilgrims are keen on before leaving for their countries, as it offers heritage items that pilgrims are eager to acquire and gift to their families and loved ones.
Among the most notable purchases made by shoppers are carpets, prayer beads, and gemstones that feature images of the Kaaba, the Grand Mosque, and the Prophet's Mosque, as well as various types of dates and fabrics, in addition to antique items and paintings that include Quranic verses and images of the two holy mosques and sacred sites, which represent beautiful memories they wish to return to in the future.
Pilgrims are keen to be present in the "Balad" area; to shop, alongside visiting Jeddah's landmarks, enjoying time at the waterfront, attending several events currently taking place, and viewing the Jeddah Fountain, which is one of its most prominent landmarks, documenting this with memorable photographs.
