بدأ برنامج جودة الحياة السعودي المحور المهم في مستهدفات رؤية 2030، التي رعاها ويشرف على تنفيذها ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، يقود الاستثمار والتحول، من خلال تعزيز المعيشة الحضرية، وتوسع السياحة، وتبني صناعتي الثقافة والترفيه.
وأضحى برنامج جودة الحياة محركاً رئيسياً لتحقيق جودة الحياة للمواطنين، وإبقاء زخم الاستثمار العالمي في السعودية.
وقال الرئيس التنفيذي للبرنامج خالد البكر: «نحن لا ننظر إلى جودة الحياة باعتبارها هدفاً مثالياً مجرداً، بل منصة يمكن قياسها، وجاهزة للاستثمار وبدأت بالفعل تحقق عائدات حقيقية لمواطنينا ولشركائنا في مختلف أرجاء العالم». وأضاف: ظللنا على الدوام ننظر إلى الفنون، والثقافة، والرياضة ليس باعتبارها رفاهية، بل باعتبارها صناعات. إنها محركات للتنويع الاقتصادي، ولتشجيع المواهب. ونفذ برنامج جودة الحياة خلال العام 2024 نحو 173 مبادرة. وحقق 85% من مؤشرات أدائها الإنجاز الكامل، أو أنها في الطريق المرسوم لها. ويتمثل أبرز الإنجازات في زيادة عدد الغرف الفندقية في المملكة من 280,800 في عام 2023 إلى 475,900 غرفة فندقية في عام 2024، وغرس 1.12 مليون شجرة، وإنشاء 149 حديقة جديدة؛ وزيادة نسبة مساحة الأرض المتاحة للفرد السعودي لتصل إلى 6.53 متر مربع للفرد، وهي زيادة تمثل 130% فوق الأهداف المحددة. وكانت الجهود أكثر بروزاً في مجال السياحة؛ إذ ارتفع عدد الزائرين للمملكة من 41 مليوناً في عام 2023 إلى 115.9 مليون زائر في 2024. كما تستعد المملكة لاستضافة مناسبات عالمية كبرى، منها بطولة كأس آسيا في 2027، ومعرض أكسبو الدولي في 2030، ومونديال 2034.
وتابع: «سواء تعلق الأمر بمليون سائح سنوياً، أو ارتفاع موجودات صندوق الاستثمارات العامة بنسبة 390% منذ العام 2016، وقفزتنا في تقويم السعادة العالمية، فإن تقدمنا ملموس. كما يساهم برنامج جودة الحياة في التحول الاقتصادي القائم على الابتكار. فقد ارتفعت مساهمة القطاع الخاص في الناتج المحلي الإجمالي من 40% في عام 2016 إلى 47% بنهاية 2024. وتحتل المملكة العربية السعودية حالياً المرتبة الأولى في مجموعة الدول الـ20 من حيث توافر السلامة، ما أدى إلى زيادة توقعات حياة الإنسان السعودي إلى 78.8 سنة. وينم هذا الإنجاز عن استثمارات متنوعة في الصحة العامة، والبنية الأساسية، والتنقل، والمعيشة في المناطق الحضرية». وأكد البكر استمرار برنامج جودة الحياة في توجيه الاستثمارات التي تستهدف تحقيق التنمية المستدامة، والبنية الأساسية للثقافة، والجيل القادم من تكنولوجيا الترفيه.

The Saudi Quality of Life Program has begun, an important axis in the targets of Vision 2030, which is sponsored and supervised by the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz. It leads investment and transformation by enhancing urban living, expanding tourism, and adopting the culture and entertainment industries.
The Quality of Life Program has become a major driver for achieving quality of life for citizens and maintaining the momentum of global investment in Saudi Arabia.
CEO of the program, Khalid Al-Bakr, stated: "We do not view quality of life as an abstract ideal goal, but rather as a measurable platform, ready for investment and already generating real returns for our citizens and our partners around the world." He added: "We have always viewed arts, culture, and sports not as luxuries, but as industries. They are engines for economic diversification and for encouraging talent." During the year 2024, the Quality of Life Program implemented about 173 initiatives. It achieved 85% of its performance indicators fully, or they are on the right track. The most notable achievements include increasing the number of hotel rooms in the Kingdom from 280,800 in 2023 to 475,900 hotel rooms in 2024, planting 1.12 million trees, creating 149 new parks, and increasing the available land area per Saudi individual to 6.53 square meters per person, which represents a 130% increase above the set targets. Efforts were particularly prominent in the tourism sector; the number of visitors to the Kingdom rose from 41 million in 2023 to 115.9 million visitors in 2024. The Kingdom is also preparing to host major global events, including the AFC Asian Cup in 2027, the World Expo in 2030, and the World Cup in 2034.
He continued: "Whether it is about one million tourists annually, or the increase in the Public Investment Fund's assets by 390% since 2016, or our leap in the World Happiness Index, our progress is tangible. The Quality of Life Program also contributes to the economic transformation based on innovation. The private sector's contribution to GDP has risen from 40% in 2016 to 47% by the end of 2024. Saudi Arabia currently ranks first among the G20 countries in terms of safety availability, which has led to an increase in the life expectancy of Saudi citizens to 78.8 years. This achievement reflects diverse investments in public health, infrastructure, mobility, and urban living." Al-Bakr confirmed the continued direction of the Quality of Life Program in targeting investments aimed at achieving sustainable development, cultural infrastructure, and the next generation of entertainment technology.
