أكد المتحدث باسم وزارة الصحة خالد بن سعود آل طالع لـ«عكاظ» وجود احترازات عدة لمنع الإجهاد؛ ومنها زراعة أكثر من 10 آلاف شجرة في المشاعر، وتوفير البرادات المزودة بالمياه، ومراوح الرذاذ لتقليل ضربات الشمس للحجاج والإجهاد الذي يحدث كل عام، متطلعاً إلى تقيد الحجاج بالتعليمات من خلال شرب السوائل واستخدام المظلات والابتعاد عن التعرض للشمس.
وقال خلال مؤتمر الإحاطة الإعلامية في مكة المكرمة: إن استخدام (طائرات الدرون) في إيصال الأدوية يسهم في تقليص المدة الزمنية من ساعة إلى 5 دقائق في المشاعر المقدسة. مشيراً إلى استقبال 62 حالة إجهاد حراري. وإجراء أكثر من 16 عملية قلب مفتوح، و148 عملية قسطرة قلبية، وتنويم أكثر من 4,800 حالة؛ منها 2,156 حالة استدعت الرعاية في العناية المركزة، إلى جانب تدشين مستشفى طوارئ جديد في مشعر منى بطاقة استيعابية تبلغ 200 سرير، و3 مستشفيات ميدانية بسعة تفوق 1200 سرير بالتعاون مع الشركاء في الشؤون الصحية بوزارة الداخلية والقطاعات الأخرى، وتشغيل 71 نقطة طوارئ جديدة.

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, Khalid bin Saud Al Tal'ah, confirmed to "Okaz" the existence of several precautions to prevent exhaustion, including the planting of more than 10,000 trees in the holy sites, providing water coolers, and mist fans to reduce sunstroke and exhaustion that occurs every year. He looks forward to pilgrims adhering to the instructions by drinking fluids, using umbrellas, and avoiding exposure to the sun.
During the media briefing in Mecca, he stated that the use of (drone aircraft) to deliver medications contributes to reducing the time from one hour to 5 minutes in the holy sites. He noted that 62 cases of heat exhaustion were received, more than 16 open-heart surgeries were performed, 148 cardiac catheterizations were conducted, and over 4,800 cases were hospitalized; among them, 2,156 cases required care in intensive care units. Additionally, a new emergency hospital was inaugurated in Mina with a capacity of 200 beds, along with 3 field hospitals with a capacity exceeding 1,200 beds in collaboration with partners in health affairs at the Ministry of Interior and other sectors, and the operation of 71 new emergency points.
