The National Center of Meteorology continues to implement its operational activities and provide its meteorological services and data in Mina, in preparation for the Day of Tarwiyah. This is part of an integrated system that supports safety plans and facilitates the performance of the pilgrims' rituals, in coordination with the relevant authorities working and supporting in the holy sites, relying on a comprehensive system of modern technologies and qualified national staff; to provide the concerned parties with weather data and potential weather phenomena through regular updates issued at the beginning of every hour, according to the best global practices in the field of monitoring and forecasting.

The center's plan for this year's Hajj includes monitoring the atmosphere in Mecca, the holy sites, and Medina, as well as the entry points, airports, and roads leading to them, using weather radars, satellite images, the Saudi numerical model, and 100% coverage of the atmosphere in the holy sites, supervised by highly trained national staff. The center has enhanced its geographical coverage by expanding the monitoring network in Mecca and the holy sites with 16 automatic stations and two manned stations in Mina and Arafat, issuing a total of 1,920 hourly weather bulletins during the Hajj season, in addition to a mobile monitoring center and a comprehensive operations room that operates around the clock.

On the Day of Tarwiyah in Mina, the center will issue (24) hourly weather bulletins and (8) synoptic bulletins, in addition to special reports in the event of severe weather phenomena, along with warning bulletins and automated alerts through the early warning system when needed. This is part of the monitoring system in the area, which includes a manned monitoring station and another automatic one, alongside continuing its awareness and media programs through the Media and Awareness Production Center in Mina; to provide weather bulletins and awareness messages in five languages through 14 media and digital services directed at the guests of Allah and the field authorities, using the latest artificial intelligence technologies and advanced imaging tools.

The center expects that the maximum temperatures in Mina on the Day of Tarwiyah will reach (40) degrees Celsius, with a minimum of (29) degrees Celsius, and wind speeds that may reach (65) km/h, with humidity levels reaching (65%), and partially cloudy skies interspersed with dust particles. It confirms its continued provision of meteorological services around the clock, supporting national efforts aimed at providing a safe environment for the pilgrims of the Sacred House of Allah and achieving the highest levels of reassurance during the Hajj season.
