تمكّنت هيئة الزكاة والضريبة والجمارك في منفذ البطحاء من إحباط محاولة تهريب 1,847,952 حبة من مادة «الإمفيتامين» المخدرة، و184,001 غرام من مواد مخدرة، حيث عُثر عليها مخبأة ضمن إرسالية واردة إلى المملكة عبر المنفذ.
وأوضح المتحدث باسم الهيئة حمود الحربي أن الإرسالية الواردة عبر منفذ البطحاء كانت عبارة عن «أدوات صحية»، وعند خضوعها للإجراءات الجمركية والكشف عليها عبر التقنيات الأمنية والوسائل الحية، عُثر على تلك الكمية من الحبوب والمواد المخدرة مخبأة داخل الإرسالية.
وأضاف الحربي أنه بعد إتمام عملية الضبط، جرى التنسيق مع المديرية العامة لمكافحة المخدرات لضمان القبض على مستقبلي المضبوطات داخل المملكة، حيث تم القبض عليهم البالغ عددهم 3 أشخاص.
وأكد الحربي أن الهيئة ماضية في إحكام الرقابة الجمركية على واردات وصادرات المملكة؛ تحقيقًا لأمن المجتمع وحمايته من هذه الآفات، وذلك بالتعاون والتنسيق المستمر مع المديرية العامة لمكافحة المخدرات.
ودعا المتحدث باسم الهيئة الجميع إلى الإسهام في مكافحة التهريب، لحماية المجتمع والاقتصاد الوطني، من خلال التواصل على الرقم المخصص للبلاغات الأمنية (1910)، أو عبر البريد الإلكتروني (1910@zatca.gov.sa)، أو الرقم الدولي (009661910)، حيث تستقبل الهيئة عبر هذه القنوات البلاغات المرتبطة بجرائم التهريب ومخالفات أحكام نظام الجمارك الموحّد بسرية تامة، مع منح مكافأة مالية للمبلِّغ في حال صحة معلومات البلاغ.
The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority at the Al-Batha border crossing succeeded in thwarting an attempt to smuggle 1,847,952 pills of the drug "amphetamine" and 184,001 grams of narcotic substances, which were found hidden within a shipment arriving in the Kingdom through the crossing.
The Authority's spokesperson, Hamoud Al-Harbi, explained that the incoming shipment through the Al-Batha crossing consisted of "sanitary tools," and during the customs procedures and inspection using security technologies and live means, that quantity of pills and narcotic substances was discovered hidden inside the shipment.
Al-Harbi added that after completing the seizure process, coordination was made with the General Directorate for Drug Control to ensure the arrest of the recipients of the seized items within the Kingdom, where three individuals were arrested.
Al-Harbi confirmed that the Authority is continuing to tighten customs control over the Kingdom's imports and exports to ensure community safety and protect it from these scourges, in continuous cooperation and coordination with the General Directorate for Drug Control.
The Authority's spokesperson called on everyone to contribute to combating smuggling, to protect the community and the national economy, by contacting the designated security reporting number (1910), or via email (1910@zatca.gov.sa), or the international number (009661910), where the Authority receives reports related to smuggling crimes and violations of the unified customs system confidentially, with a financial reward for the informant if the information provided is accurate.
