زار وزير الصحة فهد بن عبدالرحمن الجلاجل، يرافقه وفد رفيع من مسؤولي الوزارة والصحة القابضة، مدينة الملك عبدالله الطبية بمكة المكرمة للاطلاع على جاهزيتها خلال موسم الحج، وتدشين عدد من المشاريع النوعية والوقوف ميدانياً على سير العمل في أهم أقسامها التخصصية.
وكان في استقباله رئيس تجمع مكة المكرمة الدكتور حاتم العمري، والمدير العام التنفيذي لمدينة الملك عبدالله الطبية الدكتور عادل طاش، وبدأت الجولة بزيارة العيادات الافتراضية المرتبطة بمستشفى صحة الافتراضي، التي تُعد من المبادرات الرقمية الرائدة التي تسهم في تسهيل الوصول للخدمة الطبية المتخصصة وتسريع قرارات العلاج، كما اطلع على الاعتماد الذي حصلت عليه المدينة من المعهد الوطني لأبحاث الصحة لبرنامج حماية المشتركين في الأبحاث الذي يعد الأول في المملكة.
وانتقل بعد ذلك إلى منطقة خروج المرضى (Discharge Lounge)، وهي منطقة مخصصة لاستقبال المرضى الذين تم تسجيل خروجهم، وتتيح لهم الراحة المؤقتة حتى يتم تجهيز وسيلة النقل أو تفريغ الأسرّة، بما يساهم في رفع كفاءة التشغيل وتحقيق رضى المستفيد.
كما اطلع على جهاز الأشعة المتقدمة PET-CT، أحد أهم الأجهزة في التشخيص المبكر والدقيق، ويستخدم في مجالات علاج الأورام وأمراض القلب والعلوم العصبية، ويُعد الأول من نوعه في المنطقة الغربية ضمن القطاعات التابعة لوزارة الصحة.
ووقف على مشاريع التطوير في استخدامات الذكاء الاصطناعي Iselfie، خصوصاً في قراءة العلامات الحيوية وتخطيط القلب، في قسم الطوارئ ما يعزز سرعة التشخيص ودقة التدخل الطبي في الحالات الحرجة كما اطلع على الجاهزة في التعامل مع حالات الإجهاد الحراري.
وشملت الجولة تدشين مشروع الروبوت الجراحي في تخصصات (جراحة الصدر - جراحة الأورام في المسالك البولية وأورام الرحم - أورام الأمعاء والمستقيم)، الذي يُعد إضافة نوعية تسهم في إجراء العمليات الدقيقة بكفاءة أعلى وتقليل المضاعفات وتسريع التعافي وبأيدي جراحين سعوديين.
The Minister of Health, Fahd bin Abdulrahman Al-Jalajel, accompanied by a high-level delegation of officials from the ministry and the holding health company, visited King Abdullah Medical City in Mecca to assess its readiness during the Hajj season, inaugurate a number of quality projects, and observe the workflow in its most important specialized departments.
He was received by the head of the Mecca region, Dr. Hatim Al-Omari, and the CEO of King Abdullah Medical City, Dr. Adel Tash. The tour began with a visit to the virtual clinics linked to the Virtual Health Hospital, which are among the leading digital initiatives that facilitate access to specialized medical services and expedite treatment decisions. He also reviewed the accreditation that the city received from the National Institute for Health Research for the Research Participant Protection Program, which is the first of its kind in the Kingdom.
He then moved to the Discharge Lounge, an area designated for receiving patients who have been discharged, providing them with temporary comfort until transportation is arranged or beds are cleared, contributing to operational efficiency and enhancing beneficiary satisfaction.
He also reviewed the advanced PET-CT imaging device, one of the most important tools for early and accurate diagnosis, used in oncology, cardiology, and neuroscience, and the first of its kind in the western region within the sectors affiliated with the Ministry of Health.
He observed the development projects utilizing artificial intelligence, particularly in reading vital signs and ECG in the emergency department, which enhances the speed of diagnosis and the accuracy of medical intervention in critical cases. He also reviewed the readiness to handle heat stress cases.
The tour included the inauguration of the surgical robot project in the specialties of (thoracic surgery, urological oncology, and colorectal tumors), which is a qualitative addition that contributes to performing precise surgeries with higher efficiency, reducing complications, and speeding up recovery, all by Saudi surgeons.
