أطلق فرع هيئة الهلال الأحمر السعودي بمنطقة عسير مبادرة «منازل آمنة»، التي تهدف إلى تدريب العمالة المنزلية على مهارات الإسعافات الأولية؛ لتعزيز دورهم في حماية الأسر، وتمكينهم من التعامل مع الحالات الطارئة.
وتركز المبادرة على نشر التوعية بين العاملات في المنازل، وأهمية التدخل السريع في الحالات المهددة للحياة، والإصابات الطارئة التي قد تحدث داخل المنازل، وتشمل تطبيق المهارات الأساسية في الإسعافات الأولية لحالات الإنعاش القلبي الرئوي، جهاز الصدمات الكهربائية، الغصة والنزيف.
وأكد مدير عام فرع هيئة الهلال الأحمر بمنطقة عسير محمد الشهري أن هذه المبادرة تأتي ضمن جهود الهيئة في رفع مستوى الوعي الصحي في المجتمع، وتعزيز قدرة الأفراد على الإسهام في إنقاذ الأرواح وتقليل المخاطر قبل وصول فرق الطوارئ، مشيراً إلى أن البرنامج التدريبي سيتاح باللغتين العربية والإنجليزية لتيسير الفهم والاستفادة لجميع الفئات المستهدفة، داعياً أصحاب العمل والأسر إلى الاستفادة من هذه المبادرة عبر تسجيل العمالة المنزلية في البرامج التدريبية، مبيناً أن الهدف الأساسي هو بناء مجتمع واعٍ، وقادر على التعامل مع الحالات الإسعافية الطارئة بالطرق الصحيحة التي من شأنها تقليل المضاعفات المصاحبة.
The Saudi Red Crescent Authority branch in the Asir region launched the "Safe Homes" initiative, which aims to train domestic workers in first aid skills to enhance their role in protecting families and enable them to handle emergency situations.
The initiative focuses on raising awareness among domestic workers about the importance of quick intervention in life-threatening situations and emergency injuries that may occur within homes. It includes applying basic first aid skills for cases such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation, the use of defibrillators, choking, and bleeding.
The Director General of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority branch in Asir, Mohammed Al-Shahri, confirmed that this initiative is part of the Authority's efforts to raise health awareness in the community and enhance individuals' ability to contribute to saving lives and reducing risks before emergency teams arrive. He noted that the training program will be available in both Arabic and English to facilitate understanding and benefit all targeted groups, calling on employers and families to take advantage of this initiative by registering domestic workers in the training programs. He emphasized that the main goal is to build an aware community capable of handling emergency first aid situations in the correct ways that can reduce associated complications.
