وصل وزير الخارجية الأمير فيصل بن فرحان بن عبدالله، اليوم، إلى مدينة مدريد عاصمة مملكة إسبانيا، وذلك للمشاركة في الاجتماع الموسع للجنة الوزارية المكلّفة من القمة العربية الإسلامية المشتركة غير العادية بشأن التطورات في قطاع غزة، ومجموعة مدريد، وعددٍ من الدول الأوروبية.
ومن المقرر أن يبحث الاجتماع تطورات الأوضاع في قطاع غزة والضفة الغربية، والجهود الدولية الرامية إلى إيقاف الحرب وإنهاء المعاناة الإنسانية في القطاع، كما سيناقش التحضيرات الجارية للمؤتمر الدولي رفيع المستوى لحل الدولتين، الذي سيُعقد في مقر الأمم المتحدة خلال شهر يونيو القادم بمدينة نيويورك، برئاسة مشتركة من المملكة العربية السعودية والجمهورية الفرنسية.
Today, Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah arrived in Madrid, the capital of the Kingdom of Spain, to participate in the expanded meeting of the ministerial committee assigned by the extraordinary joint Arab-Islamic summit regarding developments in the Gaza Strip, the Madrid Group, and a number of European countries.
The meeting is set to discuss the developments in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, as well as international efforts aimed at stopping the war and ending the humanitarian suffering in the region. It will also address the ongoing preparations for the high-level international conference on the two-state solution, which will be held at the United Nations headquarters in New York City next June, co-chaired by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the French Republic.
