قال الناطق الإعلامي باسم مديرية الأمن العام في الأردن (في بيان حصلت «عكاظ» على نسخه منه) بأن العاملين في إدارة مكافحة المخدرات وبالتعاون والتنسيق مع الجمارك الأردنية والأجهزة الأمنيّة في معبر جابر الحدودي مع سورية تمكنوا من إحباط تهريب 200 ألف حبّة مخدرة.
وفي التفاصيل وردت معلومات حول قيام أحد الأشخاص من جنسية عربية وبالتنسيق مع أشخاص داخل الأردن لإدخال كمّيات كبيرة من الحبوب المخدرة بواسطة إحدى مركبات الشحن، حيث جرت متابعة تلك المعلومات وجرى تحديد المركبة والأشخاص الذين سيقومون باستلام المخدرات داخل الأردن، وفور وصول مركبة الشحن جرى ضبطها وبتفتيشها عثر داخل إطار على 200 ألف حبّة مخدرة، وبالتزامن مع ذلك جرت مداهمة وإلقاء القبض على الشخصين مستلمي المخدرات بعد تحديد مكان وجودهما.
وفي قضية أخرى داهمت قوّة أمنيّة من الإدارة إحدى المزارع في البادية الوسطى التي استخدمها تاجر مخدرات من جنسية عربية لممارسة نشاطه الجرمي، حيث أُلقي القبض عليه وبتفتيش المكان عثر على 18 ألف حبّة مخدرة، إضافة إلى 5 أسلحة نارية أحدها أوتوماتيكي وكمّية من الذخيرة الحيّة.
The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate in Jordan stated (in a statement obtained by "Okaz") that the personnel in the Anti-Narcotics Department, in cooperation and coordination with the Jordanian customs and security agencies at the Jaber border crossing with Syria, managed to thwart the smuggling of 200,000 narcotic pills.
In detail, information was received about an individual of Arab nationality coordinating with people inside Jordan to bring in large quantities of narcotic pills using a shipping vehicle. The information was monitored, and the vehicle and the individuals who would receive the drugs inside Jordan were identified. As soon as the shipping vehicle arrived, it was seized, and upon searching it, 200,000 narcotic pills were found inside a tire. Simultaneously, a raid was conducted, and the two individuals receiving the drugs were arrested after their location was determined.
In another case, a security force from the department raided a farm in the central Badia that was used by a drug dealer of Arab nationality to conduct his criminal activities. He was arrested, and upon searching the location, 18,000 narcotic pills were found, in addition to 5 firearms, one of which was automatic, and a quantity of live ammunition.
