في مشهد إنساني نابض بالمعنى والرمزية، حرص وزير الطاقة ورئيس مجلس أمناء جامعة الملك عبدالله للعلوم والتقنية (كاوست) الأمير عبدالعزيز بن سلمان، خلال زيارته الأخيرة للجامعة، على لقاء طلبة المراحل المبكرة في مدارس كاوست، في لفتة جسّدت أبعادًا أبوية وتربوية عميقة.
وخلال جولته في الحرم الجامعي، توقف سموه ليجلس إلى مستوى أحد الأطفال، يتحدث إليه بلغة القلب، ويمنحه لحظة من الإصغاء والاهتمام. لقطة صُوّرت بعفوية، لكنها حملت دلالات عميقة عن إيمان القيادة بأهمية البدايات، ورعاية الطموح منذ نعومة الأظفار.
وفي صورة جماعية بهيجة، التقطها سموه مع عدد من الأطفال ومعلماتهم، بدا المشهد وكأنه فصل جديد يُكتب في كتاب الرؤية السعودية 2030، التي تضع الإنسان أولاً، وتنظر إلى الطفولة لا باعتبارها مرحلة عابرة، بل نواة لكل تغيير مستدام.
رافق سموه خلال هذه الزيارة رئيس الجامعة البروفيسور إدوارد بيرن، الذي شارك الأطفال بهجتهم، وأعرب عن اعتزازه بهذه اللحظة التي تختصر العلاقة المتينة بين الجامعة ومجتمعها التعليمي، الكبير منه والصغير على حدّ سواء.
لقاء الأمير بالأطفال لم يكن مجرد محطة عابرة، بل رسالة بليغة مفادها بأن المستقبل لا يُنتظر، بل يُرَبّى.. وأن الاستثمار في الإنسان يبدأ حين تنحني لتصغي لطفل، فتزرع فيه ثقة، وتُشعل في عينيه نور الأمل.

Accompanying His Highness during this visit was the university president, Professor Edward Byrne, who shared in the children's joy and expressed his pride in this moment that encapsulates the strong relationship between the university and its educational community, both large and small alike.
The meeting between the prince and the children was not just a fleeting stop, but a poignant message that the future is not awaited, but nurtured... and that investing in people begins when you bend down to listen to a child, planting in them confidence and igniting in their eyes the light of hope.
