The death penalty was carried out against two offenders in the Eastern Province. A statement from the Ministry of Interior, issued yesterday, clarified that Maryam Mohammed Hamad Al-Muteb (Saudi nationality) and Mansour Qaid Abdullah (Yemeni nationality) kidnapped three newborns from their safe place in the hospital through trickery and deception against their mothers, attributing the kidnapped children to individuals other than their biological parents, and engaging in acts of sorcery and witchcraft. Mansour facilitated Maryam's tasks and concealed her actions in the kidnapping after he became aware of it.

The Interior Ministry's statement added that security forces were able to arrest the offenders, and the investigation with them led to charges being filed against them for committing the crime. Upon their referral to the competent court, a ruling was issued confirming the charges against them. Since the actions of the defendants were forbidden and punishable by Sharia, and constituted an assault on innocent lives deprived of will and corruption on earth, they were sentenced to death as a form of discretionary punishment. The ruling became final after being upheld by its authority, and a royal order was issued to enforce what was legally decided against them.
