أكدت هيئة رعاية الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة أن من حقوق الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة وأسرهم الحصول على خدمات الدعم الاجتماعي التي تساعدهم على التكيّف مع الإعاقة، وتسهم في تحقيق اندماجهم الكامل في المجتمع.
ويأتي هذا التأكيد استناداً إلى المادة الخامسة عشرة من نظام حقوق الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة، التي تنص على ضمان حصولهم على الدعم المناسب، بما يشمل تيسير احتياجاتهم اليومية وتعزيز مشاركتهم الاجتماعية والاقتصادية.
وقد جاء ذلك تزامناً مع اليوم الدولي للأسرة، تأكيداً على دور الأسرة كشريك أساسي في التمكين والدمج.
كما أوضحت الهيئة أن اللائحة التنفيذية للنظام تتضمن آلية واضحة لتنفيذ أحكام هذه المادة، بما يضمن التطبيق الفعّال والشامل، وفق مبادئ العدالة والإنصاف.
ويجسّد هذا التوجه التزام المملكة برفع جودة حياة الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة، وحرصها على تمكينهم وأسرهم في مختلف جوانب الحياة، انسجاماً مع رؤية تنموية تضع الإنسان في صميم أولوياتها.
وتواصل الهيئة جهودها في التنسيق مع الجهات ذات العلاقة لتطوير السياسات والبرامج الداعمة، ومتابعة التزامات القطاعات كافة تجاه هذه الفئة المهمة من أبناء المجتمع.
The Authority for the Care of Persons with Disabilities has confirmed that the rights of persons with disabilities and their families include access to social support services that help them adapt to their disabilities and contribute to their full integration into society.
This confirmation is based on Article 15 of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities System, which stipulates ensuring that they receive appropriate support, including facilitating their daily needs and enhancing their social and economic participation.
This announcement coincides with the International Day of Families, emphasizing the role of the family as a key partner in empowerment and integration.
The Authority also clarified that the executive regulation of the system includes a clear mechanism for implementing the provisions of this article, ensuring effective and comprehensive application in accordance with the principles of justice and fairness.
This approach embodies the Kingdom's commitment to improving the quality of life for persons with disabilities and its dedication to empowering them and their families in various aspects of life, in line with a developmental vision that places humans at the core of its priorities.
The Authority continues its efforts to coordinate with relevant entities to develop supportive policies and programs, and to monitor the commitments of all sectors towards this important segment of society.
