أعربت وزارة الخارجية البحرينية عن إدانة مملكة البحرين واستنكارها الشديدين لمحاولة ميليشيا الحوثي الإرهابية استهداف منطقة المدينة المنورة بصاروخ باليستي، وإطلاقها طائرة مسيّرة باتجاه المنطقة الشرقية، عادةً هذا الاعتداء انتهاكاً صارخاً لسيادة المملكة العربية السعودية ولقواعد القانون الدولي، وتهديداً لأرواح المدنيين الآمنين وزوار المسجد النبوي الشريف، وتعدياً سافراً على حرمة المقدسات الإسلامية، واستفزازاً لمشاعر المسلمين في أنحاء العالم، ومشيدةً بكفاءة قوات الدفاع الجوي الملكي السعودي ويقظتها في اعتراض هذا الاعتداء وإحباطه.
وأكدت وزارة الخارجية البحرينية تضامن مملكة البحرين الكامل مع المملكة العربية السعودية، ودعمها لكل ما تتخذه من إجراءات لصون سيادتها وأمنها واستقرارها، وحماية مواطنيها والمقيمين على أراضيها، ولحقها المشروع في الدفاع عن النفس وفقاً للمادة (51) من ميثاق الأمم المتحدة، مؤكدةً أن أمن المملكة العربية السعودية جزء لا يتجزأ من أمن مملكة البحرين ومنظومة مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية.
وجددت دعوة مملكة البحرين مجلس الأمن الدولي إلى اتخاذ إجراءات حازمة ورادعة لوقف الاعتداءات الحوثية الإرهابية المتكررة، ومنع استهداف المقدسات الدينية والأعيان المدنية، ومحاسبة مرتكبيها وداعميها، وضمان التنفيذ الكامل لقراراته ذات الصلة، وفي مقدمتها القرار رقم 2216 (2015)، بما يسهم في حفظ السلم والأمن الإقليميين والدوليين.
The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom of Bahrain's condemnation and strong denunciation of the attempt by the terrorist Houthi militia to target the Medina region with a ballistic missile, and its launch of a drone towards the Eastern Province. This attack is considered a blatant violation of the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and of international law, a threat to the lives of innocent civilians and visitors to the Prophet's Mosque, a gross infringement on the sanctity of Islamic holy sites, and a provocation to the feelings of Muslims around the world. The ministry praised the efficiency and vigilance of the Royal Saudi Air Defense Forces in intercepting and thwarting this attack.
The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed the full solidarity of the Kingdom of Bahrain with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and its support for all measures taken to preserve its sovereignty, security, and stability, and to protect its citizens and residents on its territory, as well as its legitimate right to self-defense in accordance with Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, emphasizing that the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is an integral part of the security of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Gulf Cooperation Council.
The Kingdom of Bahrain renewed its call for the United Nations Security Council to take firm and deterrent actions to stop the repeated Houthi terrorist attacks, prevent the targeting of religious sanctities and civilian objects, hold the perpetrators and their supporters accountable, and ensure the full implementation of its relevant resolutions, foremost among them Resolution 2216 (2015), in a way that contributes to maintaining regional and international peace and security.
