حققت المملكة العربية السعودية ممثلةً في الهيئة العامة للإحصاء منجزاً جديداً بمواصلة تقدمها في مؤشر الأداء الإحصائي (SPI) الصادر عن البنك الدولي منذ تحديث البيانات عام 2020م، إذ ارتفع تقييمها إلى (83.3%) في عام 2024م مقارنة بما نُشر في العام الماضي 2023م (81.5%)، محافظةً بذلك على ترتيبها في المرتبة الأولى عربياً، ومتقدمةً ثلاث مراتب بين دول مجموعة العشرين (G20) إذ جاءت في المرتبة (11) بعد أن كانت في المرتبة (14) حسب ما كان منشوراً في العام الماضي، كما تقدمت المملكة أربع مراتب لتصبح في المركز (51) بين (188) دولة.
وجاء المنجز نتيجة للتطور الإحصائي الذي تشهده المملكة، ونهج التحول الرقمي الذي تطبقه في المنظومة الإحصائية الوطنية، وإسهاماتها في بناء القدرات وتبني الابتكار وتعزيز الشفافية، ودعم قياس التقدم المحرز نحو تحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة.
وكان البنك الدولي قد أعلن عبر موقعه الرسمي نتائج تقييم مؤشر الأداء الإحصائي (SPI) لعام 2024، إذ تناول التقييم خمسة محاور رئيسة، يندرج تحتها 51 مؤشراً تغطي: استخدام البيانات وخدمات البيانات ومنتجات البيانات ومصادر البيانات والبنية التحتية للبيانات.
وحصلت المملكة على المرتبة السادسة بين دول مجموعة العشرين بحصولها على تقييم (93.2%) في المحور الثاني الخاص بخدمات البيانات، إضافة إلى حصولها على المرتبة السابعة على مستوى دول مجموعة العشرين في المحور الرابع الخاص بمصادر البيانات وتقدمها إلى المرتبة (17) عالمياً مقارنة بالمرتبة (36) حسب المنشور في العام الماضي.
كما حققت نتائج متقدمة بدخولها ضمن أعلى (20%) من مجموعة الدول في ثلاثة محاور: (خدمات البيانات، مصادر البيانات، البنية التحتية للبيانات).
ورفع رئيس الهيئة العامة للإحصاء فهد بن عبدالله الدوسري التهنئة للقيادة الرشيدة على هذا المنجز الدولي، مثمناً ما تحظى به الهيئة من دعم واهتمام، ومؤكداً أن هذا الدعم المتواصل أسهم في الارتقاء بجودة وكفاءة عمليات ومخرجات القطاع الإحصائي، وتطوره الكبير ومواكبته للمستجدات والمتغيرات العالمية المتسارعة في هذا المجال الأمر الذي يعكس نضج المنظومة الإحصائية السعودية.
يذكر أن الهيئة العامة للإحصاء تواصل جهودها في تنفيذ التحول الإحصائي الشامل، الذي يستهدف تطوير البنية التحتية للمسوح الميدانية والرقمية وتعزيز التكامل مع مختلف الجهات الحكومية والخاصة وغير الربحية، مستندة في تحقيق التحول إلى الابتكار وتوظيف التقنيات الحديثة في جمع البيانات وتحليلها، بما يسهم في رفع جودة المخرجات الإحصائية وتمكين متخذي القرار من الحصول على بيانات دقيقة تدعم تحقيق مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030، إضافة إلى سعيها المستمر نحو بناء القدرات الوطنية وتبني أفضل الممارسات والمنهجيات العالمية لضمان استدامة التطور الإحصائي ومواكبة التحولات العالمية المتسارعة في الإحصاء.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the General Authority for Statistics, has achieved a new milestone by continuing its progress in the Statistical Performance Index (SPI) issued by the World Bank since the data update in 2020. Its rating increased to (83.3%) in 2024 compared to what was published last year in 2023 (81.5%), thus maintaining its position as the first in the Arab world and advancing three ranks among the G20 countries, coming in at rank (11) after being at rank (14) according to last year's publication. The Kingdom also advanced four ranks to become in the (51) position among (188) countries.
This achievement is a result of the statistical development witnessed by the Kingdom, the digital transformation approach it applies in the national statistical system, its contributions to capacity building, adopting innovation, enhancing transparency, and supporting the measurement of progress made towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
The World Bank announced the results of the Statistical Performance Index (SPI) assessment for 2024 on its official website, covering five main axes, which include 51 indicators that cover: data usage, data services, data products, data sources, and data infrastructure.
The Kingdom ranked sixth among the G20 countries with a rating of (93.2%) in the second axis related to data services, in addition to ranking seventh among G20 countries in the fourth axis related to data sources, advancing to rank (17) globally compared to rank (36) according to last year's publication.
It also achieved advanced results by entering the top (20%) of the group of countries in three axes: (data services, data sources, data infrastructure).
The Chairman of the General Authority for Statistics, Fahd bin Abdullah Al-Dosari, congratulated the wise leadership on this international achievement, appreciating the support and attention the authority receives, and confirming that this continuous support has contributed to enhancing the quality and efficiency of the operations and outputs of the statistical sector, its significant development, and its alignment with the rapid global changes in this field, reflecting the maturity of the Saudi statistical system.
It is worth mentioning that the General Authority for Statistics continues its efforts to implement comprehensive statistical transformation, which aims to develop the infrastructure for field and digital surveys and enhance integration with various governmental, private, and non-profit entities, relying on innovation and the use of modern technologies in data collection and analysis, which contributes to improving the quality of statistical outputs and enabling decision-makers to obtain accurate data that supports achieving the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, in addition to its continuous efforts towards building national capacities and adopting the best global practices and methodologies to ensure the sustainability of statistical development and keep pace with the rapid global transformations in statistics.
