اختبر المركز الوطني للرقابة على الالتزام البيئي سفن الطوارئ البيئية ومركبات التدخل السريع وطائرة رش في التمرين العملي المشترك للخطة الوطنية لمواجهة الكوارث البحرية «بحث وإنقاذ 46» الذي نظمته المديرية العامة لحرس الحدود في نادي جدة لليخوت.
وكان التمرين الميداني «بحث وإنقاذ 46» افترض وقوع حادثة اصطدام قاربين في سواحل البحر الأحمر قبالة شواطئ محافظة جدة تحديداً ونتج عنه حريق في الزورقين وانسكابات زيتية، ليتم على إثر ذلك تشكيل خليّة الخطة الوطنية لمواجهة الكوارث البحرية برئاسة المديرية العامة لحرس الحدود وعضوية العديد من القطاعات الحكومية والخاصة ذات العلاقة.
من جهته، أكد مدير فرع المركز الوطني للرقابة على الالتزام البيئي في منطقة مكة المكرمة المهندس هاني الصحبي، مشاركة المركز في التمرين العملي بإحدى سفن الأسطول البحري وطائرة رشّ المشتتات، في عمليات الإنقاذ والسحب للبقع الزيتية الملوثة للبيئة البحرية عند حدوث أي حادثة بحريّة بيئية.
كما أكد الصبحي أن فرع المركز الوطني للرقابة على الالتزام البيئي بمنطقة مكة المكرمة قام باختبار سيارة الاستجابة للتدخل السريع والتي توفر مخبرات متنقلة تحتوي على تقنيات حديثة لتقييم الحادثة وتصدر تقارير دقيقة لحالات تسرّب الغازات، وبالتالي معالجة أسرع لمتخذي القرار في حال حدوث أي حالة في وقت قياسي.
The National Center for Environmental Compliance Monitoring tested environmental emergency vessels, rapid intervention vehicles, and a spraying aircraft during the practical joint exercise of the National Plan for Marine Disaster Response "Search and Rescue 46," organized by the General Directorate of Border Guard at the Jeddah Yacht Club.
The field exercise "Search and Rescue 46" assumed a collision incident between two boats off the coast of the Red Sea, specifically near the shores of Jeddah, resulting in a fire on both vessels and oil spills. Consequently, the National Marine Disaster Response Plan cell was formed, chaired by the General Directorate of Border Guard and including various relevant governmental and private sectors.
For his part, the Director of the National Center for Environmental Compliance Monitoring in the Makkah region, Engineer Hani Al-Suhbi, confirmed the center's participation in the practical exercise with one of the fleet's ships and a spraying aircraft, in rescue operations and the removal of oil spills that contaminate the marine environment in the event of any marine environmental incident.
Al-Suhbi also confirmed that the branch of the National Center for Environmental Compliance Monitoring in the Makkah region tested a rapid intervention response vehicle that provides mobile laboratories equipped with modern technologies to assess incidents and issue accurate reports for gas leak cases, thus enabling faster processing for decision-makers in the event of any situation in record time.
