عقد أمير المنطقة الشرقية الأمير سعود بن نايف بن عبدالعزيز، بديوان الإمارة، اليوم (الأحد)، اجتماعا مع وزير النقل والخدمات اللوجستية المهندس صالح بن ناصر الجاسر، لبحث أبرز الحلول والمقترحات المتعلقة بتنظيم سير الشاحنات في حاضرة الدمام، والجهود المشتركة بين الجهات المعنية لمعالجة التكدس المروري وتحسين انسيابية الحركة المرورية.
وأكد أمير المنطقة الشرقية أهمية تضافر الجهود وتسريع تنفيذ الخطط والعمل التكاملي بين الجهات الحكومية والقطاع الخاص لضمان انسيابية سير الشاحنات وتعزيز السلامة المرورية، ورفع كفاءة شبكة الطرق في ظل الحركة الاقتصادية المتنامية التي تشهدها المنطقة، مشيرا إلى أن ارتفاع أعداد الشاحنات في المنطقة الشرقية يعكس النمو الاقتصادي المتسارع وازدهار الحركة التجارية واللوجستية، واتساع نشاط الموانئ والصناعات، بفضل الدعم اللامحدود الذي توليه القيادة الرشيدة بقيادة خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، وولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، مؤكدا أن هذا الحراك الاقتصادي يتطلب تطويرا مستمرا للبنية التحتية وتنظيما أكثر فاعلية لحركة النقل لضمان الانسيابية ورفع مستوى السلامة، مشددا على أهمية مضاعفة الجهود للسيطرة على الكثافة العالية، واعتماد حلول إضافية تُسهم في توزيع الحركة وتحسين التدفقات المرورية، وتعزيز كفاءة منظومة النقل في المنطقة.
واستعرض الاجتماع إحصاءات سير الشاحنات في طرق المنطقة، والحلول التشغيلية والتنظيمية، الهادفة إلى رفع مستوى السلامة المرورية وفك الاختناقات، إضافة إلى مستجدات مشروع المواقف المخصصة لوقوف الشاحنات على الطرق الرئيسية، وأبرز الجهود المبذولة لتخفيف الضغط على شبكة الطرق في حاضرة الدمام ودعم ميناء الجبيل التجاري تشغيليا من خلال إنشاء مراكز للجهات الحكومية بكامل طاقتها لتسريع الإجراءات، إضافة إلى الحلول التقنية المتمثلة في الربط الجمركي الإلكتروني بين ميناء الجبيل وميناء الرياض الجاف.
The Prince of the Eastern Province, Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, held a meeting today (Sunday) at the Emirate's office with the Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, Engineer Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, to discuss the most prominent solutions and proposals related to organizing truck traffic in the Dammam metropolitan area, and the joint efforts between the relevant authorities to address traffic congestion and improve the flow of traffic.
The Prince of the Eastern Province emphasized the importance of concerted efforts and accelerating the implementation of plans and integrated work between government entities and the private sector to ensure the smooth flow of trucks and enhance traffic safety, as well as to improve the efficiency of the road network in light of the growing economic activity in the region. He pointed out that the increasing number of trucks in the Eastern Province reflects the accelerating economic growth and the flourishing commercial and logistical movement, as well as the expansion of port activities and industries, thanks to the unlimited support provided by the wise leadership under the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz. He affirmed that this economic movement requires continuous development of infrastructure and more effective organization of transportation to ensure smoothness and enhance safety, stressing the importance of doubling efforts to control high density and adopting additional solutions that contribute to distributing traffic and improving traffic flows, as well as enhancing the efficiency of the transportation system in the region.
The meeting reviewed statistics on truck traffic on the region's roads, operational and organizational solutions aimed at enhancing traffic safety and alleviating congestion, in addition to updates on the project for designated truck parking on main roads, and the most significant efforts made to relieve pressure on the road network in the Dammam metropolitan area and support the Jubail commercial port operationally by establishing centers for government entities at full capacity to expedite procedures, in addition to technical solutions represented in electronic customs linkage between Jubail Port and the Riyadh Dry Port.
