The Friday sermons at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque affirmed that sincere faith and adherence to the doctrine of monotheism represent the foundation of psychological tranquility and societal stability, while emphasizing the importance of Muslim unity, cooperation among them, and the rejection of causes of division and disagreement.
Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah bin Humaid, the Imam and preacher of the Grand Mosque, explained that the sweetness of faith is one of the greatest reasons for inner peace and the tranquility of the heart, noting that being content with Allah as a Lord, with Islam as a religion, and with the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as a messenger and prophet is among the most significant doors to happiness and serenity in life.
He indicated that firm faith grants the believer steadfastness in the face of trials, liberates them from anxiety, fear, and distress, and enhances their trust in Allah and reliance on Him, affirming that the believer combines gratitude in times of blessings with patience in times of hardships, while weak faith leads to turmoil, loss of tranquility, and the spread of selfishness and discord among people.
In the Prophet's Mosque, Sheikh Dr. Ali bin Abdul Rahman Al-Hudhaifi addressed the profound meanings of the two testimonies of faith, affirming that the testimony that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah represents a way of life based on sincere worship of Allah and following the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him).
He called on Muslims to translate the meanings of the two testimonies into practical reality that embodies brotherhood, cooperation, and solidarity, stressing the necessity of adhering to the correct Islamic creed and uniting on what strengthens the nation and enhances its power.
He confirmed that Islamic history has proven that facing adversities and calamities can only be achieved through cooperation, support, and compassion among Muslims, calling for holding fast to the rope of Allah, rejecting division and disagreement, and promoting the values of brotherhood, harmony, and cooperation in righteousness and piety.
The sermons concluded by emphasizing the fear of Allah, adherence to the religion, and obedience to the Prophet (peace be upon him), and renewing the meanings of faith and certainty that achieve tranquility for the individual, cohesion for the community, and unity for the Islamic nation.
