The Embassy of the Republic of Yemen in Riyadh has clarified that Yemeni citizens present in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who hold valid passports, do not need to obtain temporary travel documents to benefit from the generous royal grant to rectify their status. It emphasized the necessity of booking an appointment through the "Absher" platform and visiting the passport department in the nearest area to complete the required procedures.
The embassy's clarification came in a supplementary statement to its announcement of the start of the initial electronic registration phase for those wishing to benefit from the royal grant, through the official websites of the embassy and the consulate general.
The embassy indicated that the initial registration phase aims to collect data from those wishing to benefit from the grant and register it, in preparation for completing the review and verification procedures and issuing the necessary travel documents to rectify their status, in accordance with the approved regulations, controls, and instructions.
It called on those concerned with registration to fill out the electronic form accurately, complete the required data, attach any available supporting documents, and choose the appropriate area to complete the procedures. They should then print the temporary registration document and the accompanying guidance manual and keep them to present upon request.
The embassy confirmed that filling out the electronic form represents only an initial registration phase and does not mean the acceptance or approval of the application or the completion of the status rectification procedures.
It noted that electronic registration allows the beneficiary to obtain an appointment to review the center they chose, as they must attend at the specified time before the relevant committees to complete the review and verification procedures and approve the temporary document, in accordance with the approved regulations, controls, and instructions.
The embassy stressed the importance of accuracy when entering data and ensuring the correctness of the information and attached documents, emphasizing that the applicant bears full responsibility for the accuracy of the data and documents they provide.
