The National Institute for Professional Educational Development confirmed that the "Professional Master's" degree in teaching is a professional qualification that does not qualify one to pursue a doctorate. The center indicated that current educators cannot apply for the program as it is intended for those wishing to join new educational positions.

The center pointed out that the master's program includes a training program in schools according to the approved curriculum, and passing the professional license exam (specialized) is a requirement for joining the program, while passing the professional license exam (educational) is one of the graduation requirements after completing the study requirements. It is possible to combine training with another job as long as it does not conflict with the study schedule.

The center clarified that the new contracting conditions will apply to new applicants for educational positions according to the approved controls and standards in the job application announcement. The program is implemented through 6 universities to provide opportunities for those interested in various regions of Saudi Arabia, according to the needs approved by the Ministry of Education, and aligns with the regulatory trends in public education through the teacher development journey, starting with teacher preparation and enhancing their organizational readiness to strengthen integration before entering the profession and the requirements of educational professional practices.
