استضافت الهيئة العامة للإحصاء في جدة الاجتماع الحادي والخمسين لمجلس أمناء المعهد العربي للتدريب والبحوث الإحصائية، بمشاركة رؤساء وممثلي الأجهزة الإحصائية العربية والمنظمات ذات العلاقة. وناقش الاجتماع تطوير القدرات الإحصائية في الدول العربية، وتعزيز التدريب والبحث، ومواكبة التطورات التقنية، وتوظيف الأدوات الحديثة لرفع جودة الإحصاءات الرسمية ودعم الخطط والسياسات التنموية والاقتصادية.وتأتي الاستضافة في إطار جهود المملكة لتعزيز التعاون الإحصائي العربي وتطوير الكفاءات والخبرات، بالتزامن مع استعداداتها لاستضافة منتدى الأمم المتحدة العالمي السادس للبيانات في الرياض خلال نوفمبر 2026م، بمشاركة مجتمع البيانات العالمي لبحث مستقبل البيانات والإحصاءات وتعزيز التعاون الدولي.
The General Authority for Statistics in Jeddah hosted the fifty-first meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Arab Institute for Training and Statistical Research, with the participation of heads and representatives of Arab statistical agencies and related organizations. The meeting discussed the development of statistical capacities in Arab countries, enhancing training and research, keeping pace with technological developments, and employing modern tools to improve the quality of official statistics and support development and economic plans and policies. This hosting comes as part of the Kingdom's efforts to enhance Arab statistical cooperation and develop competencies and expertise, coinciding with its preparations to host the sixth United Nations World Data Forum in Riyadh in November 2026, with the participation of the global data community to discuss the future of data and statistics and enhance international cooperation.
