With the approval of the Minister of Justice, Dr. Walid bin Mohammed Al-Samaani, the Research Center at the Ministry of Justice has issued an explanation of the Civil Transactions Law in four parts; this is the third publication in the series of system explanations prepared by the center, following the explanation of the Evidence Law and the explanation of the Personal Status Law.
The first part addresses the introductory chapter and sources of obligation, the second part covers the provisions of obligation, the third part discusses named contracts, while the fourth part deals with real rights and concluding provisions.
The aim of the explanation is to facilitate understanding of the law and clarify the meanings of its texts; this enhances its correct application to facts, contributes to the stability of transactions and the quality of judicial rulings, and enriches the legal environment with specialized knowledge content.
The explanation provides a detailed treatment of the provisions of the law, including defining the intended meaning of each provision, introducing its legal terms, the conditions for its application and its effects, along with illustrative examples, and distinguishing the cases covered by the provision from others.
It also links the provisions of the law with related regulations, clarifies the consequences of violating its provisions, and identifies what is considered part of the public order that cannot be agreed upon otherwise.
The explanation targets judges, lawyers, academics, researchers, legal consultants, and law students.
