توقع الإدارة العامة للمرور في السعودية غرامة قصوى قدرها 2,000 ريال على قيادة السيارة بلوحة تالفة أو غير واضحة أو مطموسة، ويبلغ الحد الأدنى للعقوبة 1,000 ريال. وتشمل الحالات، اللوحات التي يصعب قراءة بياناتها، أو تلك التي لا تتطابق مع استمارة السير.
وأتاحت الإدارة العامة للمرور استبدال اللوحات التالفة عبر منصاتها الرسمية لتجنب الغرامة.
ويعد نظام المرور السعودي سير المركبة بلا لوحة خلفية أو بلا لوحات مخالفة مرورية، وتبلغ أقصى غرامة لها 6,000 ريال والأدنى 3,000 ريال، إضافة إلى حجز المركبة لحين تصحيح المخالفة. أما استخدام لوحة لسيارة أخرى فتبلغ غرامته القصوى 10,000 ريال.
The General Directorate of Traffic in Saudi Arabia expects a maximum fine of 2,000 riyals for driving a car with a damaged, unclear, or obscured license plate, with a minimum penalty of 1,000 riyals. The General Directorate of Traffic has made it possible to replace damaged plates through its official platforms to avoid the fine.
The Saudi traffic system considers driving a vehicle without a rear plate or with incorrect plates as a traffic violation, with a maximum fine of 6,000 riyals and a minimum of 3,000 riyals, in addition to the vehicle being impounded until the violation is corrected. Using a plate from another vehicle incurs a maximum fine of 10,000 riyals.
