قررت الهيئة الملكية لمدينة مكة المكرمة والمشاعر المقدسة إتاحة الحركة المرورية في عدد من المسارات ضمن مشاريع تطوير شبكة الطرق في مكة المكرمة، شملت الطريق الدائري الثالث وطريق الأمير سعود الفيصل.
في الطريق الدائري الثالث، تمت إتاحة 1.5 كيلومتر إضافي من المسار الجديد الممتد من تقاطع الأمير متعب حتى تقاطع المسجد الحرام، مرورًا بتقاطع الأمير سلطان وذلك ضمن مشاريع استكمال الأجزاء المتبقية من الطريق الدائري الثالث.
كما أُتيحت الحركة المرورية في المسار المتبقي من طريق الأمير سعود الفيصل للمركبات القادمة من محور الأمير محمد بن سلمان إلى شارع عبدالقادر كوشك، مرورًا بتقاطع الأمير نايف بن عبدالعزيز، بما يخدم سكان الحي القريب.
ويأتي ذلك في إطار تكامل الجهود الرامية إلى تطوير منظومة النقل والبنية التحتية في مكة المكرمة، وإحداث نقلة نوعية في انسيابية الحركة المرورية، ورفع مستوى السلامة المرورية، وتخفيف الاختناقات والضغط على الطريق الدائري الثالث، مع اختصار زمن الرحلات والتنقل بما يزيد على 90%، وتسهيل وصول أهالي الأحياء وقاصديها، خدمةً للسكان وضيوف الرحمن بكفاءة عالية، وبما يسهم في رفع جودة الحياة، لا سيما في موسمي الحج والعمرة.
The Royal Commission for the City of Mecca and the Holy Sites has decided to allow traffic movement on several routes as part of the road network development projects in Mecca, including the third ring road and Prince Saud Al-Faisal Road.
On the third ring road, an additional 1.5 kilometers of the new route has been opened, extending from the Prince Muteb intersection to the Grand Mosque intersection, passing through the Prince Sultan intersection as part of the completion projects for the remaining sections of the third ring road.
Traffic has also been allowed on the remaining section of Prince Saud Al-Faisal Road for vehicles coming from the Prince Mohammed bin Salman axis to Abdul Qader Koush Street, passing through the Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz intersection, serving the residents of the nearby neighborhood.
This comes as part of the integrated efforts aimed at developing the transportation system and infrastructure in Mecca, creating a qualitative shift in traffic flow, enhancing traffic safety, and alleviating congestion and pressure on the third ring road, while reducing travel and transit times by over 90%, and facilitating access for residents of the neighborhoods and visitors, in service of the residents and guests of the Merciful, with high efficiency, contributing to improving the quality of life, especially during the Hajj and Umrah seasons.
