أكد وزير الدولة للشؤون الخارجية عضو مجلس الوزراء ومبعوث شؤون المناخ عادل الجبير، في كلمة المملكة أمام الاجتماع رفيع المستوى لمجموعة أصدقاء التحالف الدولي للحضارات في نيويورك، أهمية الحوار والتعايش واحترام الأديان والتنوع الثقافي في دعم الأمن والاستقرار، مشددًا على مواصلة المملكة دعم جهود التحالف في مكافحة خطاب الكراهية وتعزيز ثقافة السلام والتسامح.
وأشار إلى أهمية متابعة تنفيذ مخرجات المنتدى الحادي عشر للتحالف الدولي للحضارات الذي استضافته الرياض، وتجديد الالتزام بالعمل متعدد الأطراف واحترام القانون الدولي.
كما شارك الجبير في الاجتماع الوزاري بين دول مجلس التعاون والهند، حيث بحث تعزيز التعاون والتنسيق وتبادل وجهات النظر بشأن المستجدات الإقليمية والدولية.
والتقى وزير الدولة للشؤون الخارجية وزير خارجية طاجيكستان سراج الدين مهر الدين، ورئيسة وزراء باربادوس ميا أمور موتلي، وجرى خلال اللقاءين بحث العلاقات الثنائية وسبل تطويرها، إلى جانب المستجدات الإقليمية والدولية ذات الاهتمام المشترك، وذلك على هامش أعمال الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة في دورتها الحادية والثمانين.
The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Member of the Council of Ministers, and Climate Affairs Envoy, Adel Al-Jubeir, emphasized in the Kingdom's speech at the high-level meeting of the Group of Friends of the Alliance of Civilizations in New York the importance of dialogue, coexistence, respect for religions, and cultural diversity in supporting security and stability, stressing the Kingdom's continued support for the Alliance's efforts to combat hate speech and promote a culture of peace and tolerance.
He pointed out the importance of following up on the implementation of the outcomes of the eleventh forum of the Alliance of Civilizations, which was hosted in Riyadh, and renewing the commitment to multilateral work and respect for international law.
Al-Jubeir also participated in the ministerial meeting between the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and India, where they discussed enhancing cooperation, coordination, and exchanging views on regional and international developments.
The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs met with the Foreign Minister of Tajikistan, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, and the Prime Minister of Barbados, Mia Amor Mottley, during which they discussed bilateral relations and ways to develop them, as well as regional and international developments of mutual interest, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
