شارك المستشار بالديوان الملكي المشرف العام على مركز الملك سلمان للإغاثة والأعمال الإنسانية الدكتور عبدالله بن عبدالعزيز الربيعة أمس، في جلسة نقاشية رفيعة المستوى بعنوان: «الدبلوماسية الإنسانية: من الاستجابة إلى السلام المستدام»، بتنظيم منصة ديفكس الإعلامية والمعلوماتية المتخصصة بقطاع التنمية الدولية والعمل الإنساني، وذلك على هامش أعمال الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة بدورتها الـ(81) المنعقدة في مدينة نيويورك.
وأوضح الربيعة أن دور السعودية الإنساني ينعكس من خلال جهود مركز الملك سلمان للإغاثة والأعمال الإنسانية الذي يعمل في أكثر من (110) دول، وقدم مساعدات إنسانية بقيمة تزيد على (8) مليارات و(500) مليون دولار أمريكي، وننفذ هذه الجهود من خلال شراكات مع شبكة واسعة من وكالات الأمم المتحدة وشركاء إنسانيين دوليين وإقليميين، ولدى المركز كذلك شبكة موثوقة من الشركاء المحليين في الميدان الذين يساعدوننا على تنفيذ المشاريع الإنسانية بفعالية حتى في ظل الظروف الصعبة وصعوبة الوصول الإنساني.
وضح الربيعة المثال بالسودان فعندما انسحبت بعثة الأمم المتحدة ووجودها التنفيذي من السودان في عام 2023م واصل المركز الاستجابة الإنسانية من خلال شركائه المحليين الموثوق بهم، وواصل أيضًا تنفيذ المشاريع الإنسانية مع الشركاء الدوليين، منهم اللجنة الدولية للصليب الأحمر.
وسلط الدكتور عبدالله الربيعة الضوء على تعاون المركز مع منظمة «أول هاندز آند هارتس»، من خلال تنفيذ مشروع استجابة متكامل مدته تسعة أشهر، يشمل الأمن الغذائي وسبل العيش والصحة والتغذية للمجتمعات المتضررة من النزاعات، ويستفيد منه أكثر من (208,000) مستفيد.
وجدد المشرف العام على مركز الملك سلمان للإغاثة الدكتور عبدالله الربيعة الالتزام بربط الدبلوماسية بالعمل الإنساني، بالاستناد إلى احترام القانون الإنساني الدولي والمبادئ الإنسانية، والمساءلة، وتعزيز المسار الانتقالي من الأزمات نحو القدرة على الصمود.
The advisor at the Royal Court and the General Supervisor of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, participated yesterday in a high-level discussion session titled: "Humanitarian Diplomacy: From Response to Sustainable Peace," organized by the Devex media and information platform specialized in the international development and humanitarian work sector, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly held in New York City.
Dr. Al-Rabeeah explained that Saudi Arabia's humanitarian role is reflected through the efforts of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, which operates in more than 110 countries and has provided humanitarian assistance worth over 8.5 billion US dollars. We carry out these efforts through partnerships with a wide network of UN agencies and international and regional humanitarian partners, and the center also has a reliable network of local partners in the field who help us implement humanitarian projects effectively even in difficult circumstances and challenging access.
Dr. Al-Rabeeah cited the example of Sudan, where when the UN mission withdrew its executive presence from Sudan in 2023, the center continued its humanitarian response through its trusted local partners and also continued to implement humanitarian projects with international partners, including the International Committee of the Red Cross.
Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah highlighted the center's collaboration with the organization "All Hands and Hearts" through the implementation of a comprehensive nine-month response project that includes food security, livelihoods, health, and nutrition for communities affected by conflicts, benefiting more than 208,000 individuals.
The General Supervisor of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, reaffirmed the commitment to linking diplomacy with humanitarian work, based on respect for international humanitarian law and humanitarian principles, accountability, and enhancing the transitional path from crises to resilience.
