The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has spared no effort throughout its history to establish peace and enhance security and stability in the region. Its diplomacy has been present at every juncture that calls for responsible action prioritizing the security of the region and the rights of its peoples.
Today, Saudi Arabia continues this approach in international forums through intensive diplomatic and political moves led by Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meetings, to affirm Saudi and Arab positions and support efforts aimed at ending wars and conflicts and establishing peace.
At the heart of these efforts is the Palestinian issue, which is a central concern in Saudi politics. This is reflected in the repeated emphasis that the establishment of an independent Palestinian state and the end of Israeli occupation are two fundamental pillars for the security and stability of the region.
The steadfast positions of Saudi Arabia reflect a solid policy that confirms that lasting peace cannot be achieved in the region without addressing the roots of the Palestinian conflict and enabling the Palestinian people to obtain their legitimate rights.
From this standpoint, Riyadh continues its political and diplomatic efforts, placing the principle of a two-state solution as the foundation for the peace process, and affirming that the establishment of an independent Palestinian state is not merely a political entitlement, but a crucial element in building sustainable regional security, halting the cycle of violence, and achieving security for the peoples of the region.
