رفع وزير التعليم يوسف بن عبدالله البنيان الشكر والامتنان لخادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود، وإلى ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود، -حفظهما الله- بمناسبة صدور التوجيه الكريم بتغيير مسمى الجامعة السعودية الإلكترونية إلى «جامعة الأمير مساعد بن عبدالرحمن».
وأكد أن القرار يجسد العناية الكريمة التي تحظى بها منظومة التعليم في المملكة، والاهتمام المتواصل بتعزيز دور المؤسسات التعليمية في بناء الإنسان، إلى جانب ترسيخ الاعتزاز بتاريخ الوطن ورموزه الوطنية.
وأشار إلى أن تسمية الجامعة باسم الأمير مساعد بن عبدالرحمن -رحمه الله- تُمثل تقديرًا لإسهاماته الوطنية، وتوثيقًا لإرث أحد رجالات الدولة الذين ارتبطت مسيرتهم بمراحل مهمة من مسيرة المملكة العربية السعودية وتطور مؤسساتها.
Minister of Education Yusuf bin Abdullah Al-Bunyan expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and to the Crown Prince, Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, -may God protect them- on the occasion of the issuance of the gracious directive to change the name of the Saudi Electronic University to "Prince Musaid bin Abdulrahman University."
He affirmed that the decision embodies the generous care that the education system in the Kingdom receives, and the continuous interest in enhancing the role of educational institutions in building individuals, alongside reinforcing pride in the nation's history and its national symbols.
He pointed out that naming the university after Prince Musaid bin Abdulrahman -may he rest in peace- represents an appreciation of his national contributions and a documentation of the legacy of one of the state's figures whose journey has been linked to important stages in the history of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the development of its institutions.
