أكد المندوب الباكستاني الدائم لدى الأمم المتحدة السفير عاصم افتخار أحمد، دعم بلاده الكامل والثابت لحق المملكة العربية السعودية في الدفاع عن أراضيها واتخاذ جميع الإجراءات اللازمة لحماية أمنها واستقرارها وسلامة مواطنيها.
تهديد مباشر وخطير لأمن المنطقة
جاء ذلك في كلمة ألقاها السفير عاصم افتخار أحمد أمام مجلس الأمن الدولي، مجددًا فيها موقف إسلام آباد الداعم لسيادة المملكة وأمنها وسلامة أراضيها، ومؤكدًا حقها في اتخاذ ما يلزم من إجراءات للدفاع عن أراضيها وحماية مواطنيها من التهديدات والهجمات.
وحذّر عاصم افتخار من خطورة استمرار التصعيد، مشددًا على أن هجمات ميليشيا الحوثي لا تشكّل تهديدًا لأمن المملكة فحسب، وإنما تمثّل تهديدًا مباشرًا وخطيرًا لأمن واستقرار المنطقة بأكملها ولسلامة طرق الملاحة البحرية الدولية.
The Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, affirmed his country's full and unwavering support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's right to defend its territory and to take all necessary measures to protect its security, stability, and the safety of its citizens.
A Direct and Serious Threat to Regional Security
This was stated in a speech delivered by Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad before the United Nations Security Council, reiterating Islamabad's position in support of the sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity of the Kingdom, and affirming its right to take necessary measures to defend its territory and protect its citizens from threats and attacks.
Ambassador Iftikhar warned of the dangers of continued escalation, emphasizing that the attacks by the Houthi militia not only pose a threat to the security of the Kingdom but also represent a direct and serious threat to the security and stability of the entire region and the safety of international maritime navigation routes.
