بينما كانت والدته تنتظر نصيب أسرتها من المساعدات، اختار طفل سوداني سلةً غذائية تحمل شعار المملكة العربية السعودية، ممثلةً في مركز الملك سلمان للإغاثة والأعمال الإنسانية، ليتكئ عليها ويغفو بهدوء؛ وكأن الطمأنينة وصلت إليه قبل أن تصل المؤونة إلى منزله.
في الصورة، لا يحتاج المشهد إلى كثير من الكلمات؛ طفل ينام آمناً، ويد أمٍّ تمتد بحنان لتظلله وتحرس غفوته، وسلة غذائية تحولت في لحظة إنسانية عابرة إلى وسادة تحمل رأسه الصغير، وإلى جدار يستند إليه قلب والدته المتعب.
لم يكن الطفل يعرف ما تحمله السلة من مواد غذائية، ولا المسافات التي قطعتها حتى تصل إليه، لكنه أدرك بلغته البريئة أنها مكان آمن للنوم. غفا فوق اسم المملكة وشعار مركز الملك سلمان للإغاثة، مطمئناً إلى يد أمه، غير عابئ بضجيج الانتظار وقسوة الظروف المحيطة.
اختزلت الصورة معنى العمل الإنساني في أبسط صوره وأعمقها؛ فالمساعدة ليست أرقاماً تُدرج في التقارير، ولا طروداً تُسلَّم وتنتهي مهمتها، بل حياة تستعيد بعض توازنها، وأمٌّ تشعر بأن هناك من يقف إلى جوارها، وطفل يجد مساحة صغيرة من الأمان وسط واقع أثقلته الأزمات.
لتبقى أرض السودان، حيث ألقت الظروف الإنسانية الصعبة بظلالها على الأسر والأطفال، شاهداً على العطاء السعودي الذي يحمل الغذاء والدواء والمأوى، بل إنه يحمل قبل ذلك رسالة تضامن لا تخطئها القلوب: «أن الإنسان في محنته ليس وحده».

In the picture, the scene needs no many words; a child sleeps safely, a mother’s hand extends with tenderness to shade and guard his slumber, and a food basket has transformed in a fleeting moment of humanity into a pillow supporting his small head, and into a wall against which his weary mother’s heart leans.
The child did not know what food items the basket contained, nor the distances it traveled to reach him, but he sensed in his innocent way that it was a safe place to sleep. He dozed off over the name of the Kingdom and the logo of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, reassured by his mother's hand, indifferent to the noise of waiting and the harshness of the surrounding circumstances.
The image encapsulated the meaning of humanitarian work in its simplest and deepest forms; assistance is not just numbers recorded in reports, nor parcels delivered to complete their mission, but rather a life regaining some balance, a mother feeling that someone stands by her side, and a child finding a small space of safety amidst a reality burdened by crises.
Let the land of Sudan, where difficult humanitarian conditions have cast their shadows over families and children, remain a witness to the Saudi giving that carries food, medicine, and shelter, and indeed carries before that a message of solidarity that hearts cannot miss: "In his hardship, a person is not alone."
