تلقى وزير الخارجية الأمير فيصل بن فرحان بن عبدالله اتصالًا هاتفيًا من وزير الخارجية وشؤون الكومنولث والتنمية في المملكة المتحدة إد ميليباند.
وجرى خلال الاتصال بحث التطورات الإقليمية، حيث جدّد وزير الخارجية وشؤون الكومنولث والتنمية في المملكة المتحدة في مستهل الاتصال تضامن بلاده مع المملكة جراء الاعتداءات التي أطلقتها مليشيا الحوثي، مؤكدًا حق المملكة في اتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة للدفاع عن أمنها ومقدراتها بموجب القانون الدولي.
كما ناقش الجانبان أهمية تكثيف الجهود المشتركة لضمان أمن وحرية الملاحة في الممرات المائية، بما يسهم في تعزيز الأمن والاستقرار الإقليمي، وحماية حركة التجارة وسلاسل الإمداد العالمية من تداعيات الأزمة الراهنة.
Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah received a phone call from the UK Foreign Secretary and Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, Ed Miliband.
During the call, they discussed regional developments, where the UK Foreign Secretary reiterated his country's solidarity with the Kingdom in light of the attacks launched by the Houthi militia, affirming the Kingdom's right to take necessary measures to defend its security and resources under international law.
The two sides also discussed the importance of intensifying joint efforts to ensure the security and freedom of navigation in waterways, contributing to enhancing regional security and stability, and protecting trade movement and global supply chains from the repercussions of the current crisis.
