أعربت وزارة الخارجية عن إدانة المملكة العربية السعودية بأشد العبارات الاستهداف الذي تعرض له خط أنابيب شرق غرب في منطقتي (الرياض والمدينة المنورة) بعدة مسيّرات قادمة من العراق، نتج عنها إصابات بشرية وبعض الأضرار التي تجري معالجتها.
وقالت الوزارة في بيان:«توضح المملكة بأنه بناء على طلب دولة رئيس الوزراء العراقي بإتاحة الفرصة لحكومة العراق الشقيقة لاتخاذ الإجراءات الكفيلة بمنع الاعتداءات المنطلقة من الأراضي العراقية تجاه المملكة ودول الجوار، فقد آثرت المملكة عدم الرد في هذه المرحلة، ودعم جهود الحكومة العراقية».
وأكدت المملكة العربية السعودية بأنها تحتفظ بحقها في اتخاذ جميع الإجراءات الكفيلة بحماية سيادتها وأمنها ومنشآتها ومواطنيها والمقيمين فيها.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's strong condemnation of the targeting of the East-West pipeline in the regions of (Riyadh and Medina) by several drones coming from Iraq, resulting in human injuries and some damages that are currently being addressed.
The ministry stated in a statement: "The Kingdom clarifies that, based on the request of the Prime Minister of Iraq to allow the brotherly Government of Iraq the opportunity to take the necessary measures to prevent attacks originating from Iraqi territory towards the Kingdom and neighboring countries, the Kingdom has preferred not to respond at this stage and to support the efforts of the Iraqi government."
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia affirmed that it reserves the right to take all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty, security, facilities, citizens, and residents.
