أعربت دولة الكويت عن إدانتها واستنكارها الشديدين للاستهداف الذي تعرض له خط أنابيب شرق - غرب في منطقتي الرياض والمدينة المنورة بواسطة عدة طائرات مسيرة قادمة من الأراضي العراقية، وما أسفر عنه من إصابات بشرية وأضرار مادية في انتهاك صارخ لسيادة المملكة، وخرق للقانون الدولي والقانون الدولي الإنساني ومساس بأمن إمدادات الطاقة.
وأكدت وزارة الخارجية الكويتية في بيان اليوم نشرته وكالة الأنباء الكويتية أن تلك الاعتداءات تشكل تصعيدًا خطيرًا من شأنه تقويض أمن واستقرار المنطقة، مشددة على أهمية اتخاذ الحكومة العراقية الإجراءات اللازمة لضمان عدم استخدام أراضيها منطلقًا لمثل هذه الاعتداءات والعمل على وقفها ومنع تكرارها.
وجددت الوزارة تضامن دولة الكويت المطلق مع المملكة العربية السعودية، ووقوفها إلى جانبها ودعمها لكافة الإجراءات التي تتخذها لصون سيادتها والحفاظ على أمنها واستقرارها ومصالحها.
The State of Kuwait expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the targeting of the East-West pipeline in the Riyadh and Medina regions by several drones coming from Iraqi territory, which resulted in human injuries and material damage, in a blatant violation of the Kingdom's sovereignty, and a breach of international law and international humanitarian law, as well as a threat to energy supply security.
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed in a statement today published by the Kuwait News Agency that these attacks represent a serious escalation that could undermine the security and stability of the region, emphasizing the importance of the Iraqi government taking the necessary measures to ensure that its territory is not used as a launchpad for such attacks and to work on stopping them and preventing their recurrence.
The ministry reiterated the State of Kuwait's full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, standing by its side and supporting all measures it takes to preserve its sovereignty and maintain its security, stability, and interests.
