أحبط جمرك مطار الملك فهد الدولي محاولة تهريب كمية كبيرة من مادة (الإمفيتامين) المخدرة بلغت 18,549 حبة، بعد العثور عليها مخبأة داخل طرد بريدي وارد إلى المملكة، وذلك خلال إجراءات الفحص الأمني التي استخدمت فيها التقنيات الحديثة والوسائل الحية.
وأوضح المتحدث الرسمي لهيئة الزكاة والضريبة والجمارك حمود الحربي أنَّ الطرد خضع للفحص الدقيق فور وصوله، ليتم اكتشاف الكمية المخدرة داخله، مشيرًا إلى أنه جرى التنسيق مباشرة مع المديرية العامة لمكافحة المخدرات لضمان القبض على مستقبلي المضبوطات، حيث تم ضبط أربعة أشخاص داخل المملكة.
وأكد الحربي أن الهيئة مستمرة في إحكام الرقابة على منافذ المملكة كافة، وتقف بالمرصاد لمحاولات التهريب؛ تنفيذًا لاستراتيجيتها الرامية إلى حماية المجتمع وتعزيز أمنه، وذلك عبر العمل المشترك مع وزارة الداخلية والمديرية العامة لمكافحة المخدرات.
ودعا المتحدث الرسمي الجميع إلى الإسهام في مكافحة التهريب عبر الإبلاغ عن أي نشاطات مشبوهة من خلال الرقم الأمني (1910) أو البريد الإلكتروني أو الرقم الدولي (009661910)، مؤكّدًا أن البلاغات تُستقبل بسرية تامة، مع منح مكافأة مالية عند ثبوت صحة المعلومات.
The customs at King Fahd International Airport thwarted an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of the narcotic substance (amphetamine), amounting to 18,549 pills, after finding them hidden inside a postal parcel arriving in the Kingdom, during security inspection procedures that utilized modern technologies and live methods.
The official spokesperson for the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, Hamoud Al-Harbi, explained that the parcel underwent a thorough inspection upon its arrival, leading to the discovery of the narcotic quantity inside it. He noted that coordination was made directly with the General Directorate for Drug Control to ensure the arrest of the recipients of the seized items, with four individuals being apprehended within the Kingdom.
Al-Harbi confirmed that the authority continues to tighten control over all entry points to the Kingdom and stands vigilant against smuggling attempts; this is in implementation of its strategy aimed at protecting the community and enhancing its security, through joint efforts with the Ministry of Interior and the General Directorate for Drug Control.
The official spokesperson called on everyone to contribute to combating smuggling by reporting any suspicious activities through the security number (1910) or via email or the international number (009661910), emphasizing that reports are received in complete confidentiality, with a financial reward granted upon verification of the information.
