The Royal Commission for the City of Mecca and the Holy Sites announced that seven locations have entered the development phase within the developed neighborhoods program in Mecca, covering a total area of (4,484,896.17) square meters, as part of its efforts to enhance the urban environment and improve the quality of life in the holy capital.
The locations include Al-Zuhur neighborhood with an area of (1,293,388.76) square meters, Al-Khalidiya neighborhood with an area of (920,933.19) square meters, Western Hindawiya neighborhood with an area of (841,292.13) square meters, Southern Juhurm site at Jabal Al-Sharashif with an area of (757,827.76) square meters, Southern Hindawiya neighborhood with an area of (308,304.30) square meters, Eastern Hindawiya neighborhood with an area of (235,610.52) square meters, and Al-Hajla neighborhood with an area of (127,539.51) square meters.
The entry of these locations into the development phase is part of the Commission's efforts to develop Meccan neighborhoods, enhance the efficiency of the urban fabric, and improve the level of services and facilities; contributing to providing a more efficient and suitable urban environment, enhancing the quality of life for residents, and supporting sustainable urban development in Mecca.
The Royal Commission confirmed that this step is part of the pursuit of creating a more efficient urban environment, more suitable services, and a better quality of life for the residents of Meccan neighborhoods; in line with the comprehensive development journey that the holy capital is witnessing.
It called on property owners located within the areas covered by the program to register their ownership and submit their applications through the "Mutam" platform, noting that details and maps related to the locations are available on the developed neighborhoods program page; enabling owners and beneficiaries to learn about the development scopes and related procedures.
The developed neighborhoods program aims to elevate the targeted areas by addressing urban aspects, improving the urban environment, and enhancing service efficiency, thereby promoting the integration of neighborhoods with the developmental projects taking place in Mecca, and contributing to building a more sustainable city with quality services and facilities.
