استقبل نائب أمير المنطقة الشرقية الأمير سعود بن بندر بن عبدالعزيز، في مكتبه بديوان الإمارة، اليوم (الأحد)، أمين المنطقة الشرقية المهندس فهد بن محمد الجبير.
ونوّه نائب أمير المنطقة الشرقية بما تشهده المنطقة من نمو متسارع في المجالات السياحية والترفيهية والاستثمارية، وما تمتلكه من مقومات وإمكانات تؤهلها لاستقطاب المزيد من المشاريع النوعية، مؤكداً أهمية مواصلة تهيئة البيئة الاستثمارية، بما يعزز النشاط الاقتصادي والسياحي، ويوسع فرص العمل والتنمية لأبناء وبنات الوطن.
وقدم الجبير لنائب أمير المنطقة الشرقية عرضاً عن نجاح الموسم الأول من مشروع المدينة العالمية بالدمام، الذي استقطب أكثر من 3 ملايين زائر خلال خمسة أشهر، موضحاً أن الموسم الثاني يمثل نقلة تطويرية من خلال توسعة المرافق والأجنحة الدولية والمناطق الترفيهية والاستثمارية، وإضافة وجهات وتجارب جديدة في الثقافة والترفيه والذكاء الاصطناعي والروبوتات، مستهدفاً استقبال نحو 5.2 مليون زائر، إلى جانب توفير فرص عمل ودعم المنشآت الصغيرة والمتوسطة وتمكين الكفاءات الوطنية، مؤكداً أن المشروع يمثل نموذجاً ناجحاً للشراكة بين أمانة المنطقة الشرقية والقطاع الخاص في استثمار الأصول البلدية، وتعزيز جودة الحياة والنشاط الاقتصادي والسياحي بالمنطقة.
ورفع الجبير الشكر والتقدير لنائب أمير المنطقة الشرقية على اهتمامه ومتابعته لمشاريع أمانة المنطقة الاستثمارية.
The Deputy Emir of the Eastern Province, Prince Saud bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, received the Secretary of the Eastern Province, Engineer Fahd bin Mohammed Al-Jubair, in his office at the Emirate today (Sunday).
The Deputy Emir of the Eastern Province highlighted the rapid growth the region is witnessing in tourism, entertainment, and investment sectors, and the resources and capabilities it possesses that qualify it to attract more quality projects. He emphasized the importance of continuing to prepare the investment environment, which enhances economic and tourism activity, and expands job and development opportunities for the sons and daughters of the nation.
Al-Jubair presented to the Deputy Emir of the Eastern Province a report on the success of the first season of the Global City project in Dammam, which attracted more than 3 million visitors over five months. He explained that the second season represents a developmental leap through the expansion of facilities, international pavilions, and entertainment and investment areas, adding new destinations and experiences in culture, entertainment, artificial intelligence, and robotics, aiming to welcome around 5.2 million visitors, in addition to providing job opportunities and supporting small and medium enterprises and empowering national talents. He confirmed that the project represents a successful model of partnership between the Eastern Province Municipality and the private sector in investing municipal assets, enhancing the quality of life, and boosting economic and tourism activity in the region.
Al-Jubair expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Deputy Emir of the Eastern Province for his interest and follow-up on the investment projects of the municipality.
