أكد الأمين العام لمجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية جاسم محمد البديوي أن دول الخليج باتت في مقدمة الدول عالميًا في مجال الأمن السيبراني، نتيجة تطوير قدراتها الوطنية وتعزيز حماية البيانات والبنى التحتية الرقمية ورفع مستوى الاستجابة للتهديدات السيبرانية.
وأوضح البديوي، خلال الاجتماع الخامس للجنة الوزارية للأمن السيبراني في المنامة، أن التطورات الأخيرة في المنطقة أثبتت جاهزية عالية للمنظومة السيبرانية الخليجية، مدعومة بالتنسيق المشترك والإجراءات الاستباقية التي تتبناها دول المجلس.
وأشار إلى أبرز منجزات العمل الخليجي المشترك في هذا المجال؛ ومنها الخطة التنفيذية للإستراتيجية الخليجية للأمن السيبراني 2024 – 2028، وإطار التعاون الدولي، وآلية مشاركة معلومات التهديدات، إضافة إلى تنظيم التمارين السيبرانية الخليجية بشكل سنوي لتعزيز الجاهزية ورفع مستوى التكامل بين الجهات المختصة.
The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, confirmed that the Gulf countries have become leaders globally in the field of cybersecurity, as a result of developing their national capabilities, enhancing data protection, digital infrastructure, and improving the response to cyber threats.
Al-Budaiwi explained during the fifth meeting of the Ministerial Committee for Cybersecurity in Manama that recent developments in the region have demonstrated a high level of readiness for the Gulf cybersecurity system, supported by joint coordination and proactive measures adopted by the member states.
He pointed out the most significant achievements of joint Gulf work in this field, including the executive plan for the Gulf Cybersecurity Strategy 2024 – 2028, the framework for international cooperation, and the mechanism for sharing threat information, in addition to organizing Gulf cybersecurity exercises annually to enhance readiness and improve integration among the relevant authorities.
