يشارك المنتخب السعودي للمواصفات في النسخة الحادية والعشرين من الأولمبياد الدولي للمواصفات 2026، الذي تستضيفه مدينة غويانغ في كوريا خلال الفترة من 12 حتى 14 أغسطس 2026، بمشاركة 13 دولة.
ويمثّل المملكة في الأولمبياد 12 طالبًا وطالبة من المرحلتين المتوسطة والثانوية، موزعين على 4 فرق، جرى اختيارهم وإعدادهم ضمن رحلة تأهيل متكاملة، بالتعاون بين مؤسسة الملك عبدالعزيز ورجاله للموهبة والإبداع (موهبة)، ووزارة التعليم، والهيئة السعودية للمواصفات والمقاييس والجودة.
ويهدف الأولمبياد الدولي للمواصفات، الذي يُقام سنويًا منذ عام 2006 في كوريا، إلى تعزيز الوعي لدى طلبة المرحلتين المتوسطة والثانوية بمفاهيم المواصفات والمقاييس والجودة، وتشجيعهم على تبادل الأفكار الجديدة حول المعايير والتقنيات الحديثة.
وسجلت المملكة حضورها الأول في الأولمبياد عام 2024، بوصفها أول دولة عربية تشارك في المسابقة، وحققت خلال مشاركتيها السابقتين 5 جوائز دولية، شملت ميدالية ذهبية، وميداليتين فضيتين، وميدالية برونزية، وجائزة شرفية.
وتمثل هذه المشاركة امتدادًا لجهود المملكة في اكتشاف الطلبة الموهوبين وتأهيلهم للمنافسة في المحافل العلمية الدولية، وتوفير خبرات نوعية تسهم في تعزيز وعيهم بأهمية المواصفات والمعايير ودورها في رفع جودة المنتجات والخدمات وتحسين جودة الحياة.
The Saudi team for specifications is participating in the 21st International Olympiad on Specifications 2026, which will be hosted in the city of Goyang, South Korea, from August 12 to 14, 2026, with the participation of 13 countries.
The Kingdom is represented in the Olympiad by 12 male and female students from the intermediate and secondary stages, distributed across 4 teams. They were selected and prepared as part of a comprehensive qualification journey, in collaboration between the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), the Ministry of Education, and the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization.
The International Olympiad on Specifications, held annually since 2006 in Korea, aims to enhance awareness among intermediate and secondary students about the concepts of specifications, standards, and quality, and to encourage them to exchange new ideas about modern standards and technologies.
The Kingdom made its first appearance in the Olympiad in 2024, as the first Arab country to participate in the competition, and during its previous participations, it achieved 5 international awards, including one gold medal, two silver medals, one bronze medal, and an honorary award.
This participation represents a continuation of the Kingdom's efforts to discover gifted students and prepare them to compete in international scientific forums, providing quality experiences that contribute to enhancing their awareness of the importance of specifications and standards and their role in improving the quality of products and services and enhancing the quality of life.
