توشحت أبرز معالم وأبراج مدن المملكة بأعلام المملكة العربية السعودية وجمهورية تركيا وجمهورية باكستان الإسلامية، احتفاءً بتوقيع الدول الثلاث «اتفاقية مكة للدفاع المشترك» في مكة المكرمة، مجسّدةً حرصها المشترك على تعزيز أمنها وتحقيق السلام والاستقرار في المنطقة والعالم، سعياً إلى مستقبل آمن ومزدهر.
وأضاءت أبرز المعالم والأبراج في عدد من مناطق المملكة بألوان أعلام الدول الثلاث، في مشهد واكب مظاهر الابتهاج الشعبي بتوقيع الاتفاقية التي وقّعها في الديوان الملكي بقصر الصفا في مكة المكرمة، أمس (الجمعة)، ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، والرئيس التركي رجب طيب أردوغان، ورئيس وزراء باكستان محمد شهباز شريف.
وتأتي مظاهر الاحتفاء تأكيداً على العلاقات المتميزة بين المملكة وتركيا وباكستان، وانطلاقاً من الروابط التاريخية الراسخة بين الدول الثلاث، وبناءً على أواصر الأخوة والتضامن الإسلامي التي تجمعها، واستناداً إلى المصالح الإستراتيجية المشتركة والتعاون الدفاعي الوثيق.
وتُرسي «اتفاقية مكة للدفاع المشترك» —أول إطار دفاعي ثلاثي يجمع الدول الثلاث— مبدأ الدفاع الجماعي الذي يَعُدّ أي هجوم مسلح على أي من الدول الثلاث هجوماً عليها جميعاً، بما يعزز الردع المشترك في مواجهة كل أشكال العدوان، بعد مفاوضات استمرت نحو عام، وبناءً على اتفاقية الدفاع الإستراتيجي المشترك الموقعة بين المملكة وباكستان العام الماضي.
The prominent landmarks and towers of the cities in the Kingdom were adorned with the flags of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Republic of Turkey, and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, in celebration of the signing of the three countries' "Makkah Agreement for Joint Defense" in Makkah, embodying their shared commitment to enhancing security and achieving peace and stability in the region and the world, in pursuit of a safe and prosperous future.
The prominent landmarks and towers in several regions of the Kingdom were illuminated in the colors of the flags of the three countries, in a scene that accompanied the expressions of public joy at the signing of the agreement, which was signed yesterday (Friday) at the royal court in Al-Safa Palace in Makkah by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif.
The manifestations of celebration come as a confirmation of the distinguished relations between the Kingdom, Turkey, and Pakistan, stemming from the deep historical ties between the three countries, and based on the bonds of brotherhood and Islamic solidarity that unite them, as well as relying on shared strategic interests and close defense cooperation.
The "Makkah Agreement for Joint Defense" — the first trilateral defense framework uniting the three countries — establishes the principle of collective defense, which considers any armed attack on any of the three countries as an attack on all of them, thereby enhancing mutual deterrence against all forms of aggression, following negotiations that lasted nearly a year, and based on the joint strategic defense agreement signed between the Kingdom and Pakistan last year.
