أكد المتحدث باسم وزارة الدفاع اللواء الركن تركي المالكي أن إعلان التحالف البحري الدفاعي متعدد الجنسيات يعكس إدراكاً دولياً مشتركاً لحجم التهديدات التي تواجه الأمن البحري وحرية الملاحة، ويجسد مسؤولية جماعية لحماية الممرات البحرية والمصالح الاقتصادية العالمية.
وأوضح اللواء المالكي، في تصريح لوسائل الإعلام، اليوم، أن المنطقة والعالم يواجهان تهديدات حقيقية وأخرى ناشئة، مشيراً إلى أن لكل دولة الحق في اتخاذ ما تراه من إجراءات عسكرية أو سياسية لحماية مصالحها والتعامل مع تلك التهديدات، مؤكداً وجود تنسيق مستمر بين الدول المشاطئة للبحر الأحمر لتعزيز أمن الممرات البحرية وحماية المصالح المشتركة.
وأشار إلى أن المملكة، ومن خلال خبراتها في تحالف دعم الشرعية في اليمن، حققت إنجازات كبيرة في القضاء على التهديدات البحرية، شملت التصدي للطائرات المسيّرة، والقوارب السريعة، والألغام البحرية، مؤكداً أن الحفاظ على الأمن البحري مسؤولية جماعية لا تقتصر على الدول المشاطئة، بل تشمل جميع الدول المستفيدة من أمن واستقرار الممرات البحرية.
وشدد المتحدث باسم وزارة الدفاع على أن حماية خطوط الملاحة الدولية وناقلات النفط تمثل ركيزة أساسية لاستقرار الاقتصاد العالمي، مبيناً أن أي أعمال إرهابية أو تهديدات تستهدف الأمن البحري تنعكس آثارها على المجتمع الدولي بأسره، الأمر الذي يستوجب تعزيز التعاون والتنسيق الدولي لمواجهتها، بما يسهم في أمن الممرات البحرية واستقرارها.
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, Major General Turki Al-Maliki, confirmed that the announcement of the multinational maritime defense coalition reflects a shared international awareness of the scale of the threats facing maritime security and freedom of navigation, and embodies a collective responsibility to protect maritime corridors and global economic interests.
Major General Al-Maliki explained, in a statement to the media today, that the region and the world are facing real and emerging threats, noting that each country has the right to take whatever military or political measures it deems necessary to protect its interests and address those threats. He emphasized the ongoing coordination among the countries bordering the Red Sea to enhance the security of maritime corridors and protect shared interests.
He pointed out that the Kingdom, through its experiences in the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen, has achieved significant accomplishments in eliminating maritime threats, which included countering drones, fast boats, and naval mines. He affirmed that maintaining maritime security is a collective responsibility that is not limited to the coastal states but includes all countries benefiting from the security and stability of maritime corridors.
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense stressed that protecting international shipping lanes and oil tankers represents a fundamental pillar for the stability of the global economy, indicating that any terrorist acts or threats targeting maritime security have repercussions on the entire international community, which necessitates strengthening cooperation and international coordination to confront them, contributing to the security and stability of maritime corridors.
