كشفت قراءة أجرتها «عكاظ» لبيانات مؤسسة «موهبة» والتقرير السنوي للهيئة السعودية للملكية الفكرية، نمواً متسارعاً في منظومة اكتشاف الموهوبين ورعاية الابتكار وحماية الملكية الفكرية في السعودية. وأظهرت البيانات اكتشاف 244 ألف موهوب وموهوبة من أصل 686 ألف طالب وطالبة خضعوا للبرنامج الوطني للكشف عن الموهوبين منذ 2011، إلى جانب تسجيل أكثر من 1.76 مليون مشاركة في الأولمبياد الوطني للإبداع العلمي، وتحقيق 1,683 جائزة، فيما حصد المشاركون السعوديون 210 جوائز في معرض «آيسف» و691 ميدالية وشهادة تقدير في الأولمبيادات الدولية.
كما سجلت برامج «موهبة» أكثر من 149 ألف حالة مشاركة واستفادة، فيما حصل 963 طالباً وطالبة على قبول في جامعات ضمن أفضل 100 جامعة عالمياً، بإجمالي 3,024 قبولاً.
وفي جانب الابتكار، استقبلت الهيئة السعودية للملكية الفكرية 10,300 طلب براءة اختراع خلال 2025، بزيادة 28% مقارنة بعام 2024، مدفوعة بارتفاع طلبات الأفراد بنسبة 96% والمؤسسات الوطنية بنسبة 80%، لترتفع حصتهما إلى 45.4% من إجمالي الطلبات.
كما استقبلت الهيئة أكثر من 2,600 طلب لتسجيل التصاميم، و4,800 طلب للتسجيل الاختياري لمصنفات حقوق المؤلف، وأكثر من 64 ألف طلب لتسجيل العلامات التجارية، فيما بلغ الوعي بالملكية الفكرية 70.7%، وتجاوز عدد المتدربين في أكاديمية الملكية الفكرية 100 ألف متدرب.
A reading conducted by "Okaz" of data from the "Mawhiba" Foundation and the annual report of the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property revealed a rapid growth in the system for discovering talents, nurturing innovation, and protecting intellectual property in Saudi Arabia. The data showed the discovery of 244,000 talented individuals out of 686,000 students who underwent the national program for identifying gifted individuals since 2011, along with more than 1.76 million participations in the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity, and achieving 1,683 awards, while Saudi participants won 210 awards at the "ISEF" exhibition and 691 medals and certificates of appreciation in international Olympiads.
Programs by "Mawhiba" recorded more than 149,000 cases of participation and benefit, while 963 students were accepted into universities ranked among the top 100 universities globally, totaling 3,024 acceptances.
In the field of innovation, the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property received 10,300 patent applications during 2025, an increase of 28% compared to 2024, driven by a 96% rise in individual applications and an 80% increase from national institutions, raising their share to 45.4% of total applications.
The authority also received more than 2,600 applications for design registration, 4,800 applications for optional registration of copyright works, and over 64,000 applications for trademark registration, while awareness of intellectual property reached 70.7%, and the number of trainees at the Intellectual Property Academy exceeded 100,000 trainees.
