شارك وزير الخارجية الأمير فيصل بن فرحان بن عبدالله، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، عبر الاتصال المرئي، في لقاء تشاوري مع وزراء خارجية دول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية.
وتبادل الوزراء الرؤى حول تطورات المرحلة الراهنة، ومستجدات المفاوضات الجارية، والجهود المبذولة للدفع بها نحو تفاهمات عملية تسهم في خفض التوتر وتعزيز بيئة الأمن والاستقرار الإقليميين.
كما بحث اللقاء سبل تكثيف التنسيق والتشاور بين دول المجلس إزاء القضايا المرتبطة بحرية الملاحة وسلامتها في مضيق هرمز، بما يكفل حقوق المرور والعبور وانسياب حركة السفن والتجارة والإمدادات، وفقاً لأحكام القانون الدولي، وبما يحفظ الحقوق السيادية لجميع الدول المشاطئة لمياه الخليج.
وأكد الوزراء أهمية مواصلة العمل المشترك، وتغليب المعالجات السياسية والدبلوماسية، وتهيئة الظروف المواتية لبناء الثقة والتوصل إلى حلول مقبولة لجميع الأطراف.
Today (Tuesday), Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah participated via video conference in a consultative meeting with the foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
The ministers exchanged views on the current developments, updates on ongoing negotiations, and the efforts being made to advance them towards practical understandings that contribute to reducing tensions and enhancing the environment of regional security and stability.
The meeting also discussed ways to intensify coordination and consultation among the Council member states regarding issues related to the freedom of navigation and its safety in the Strait of Hormuz, ensuring the rights of passage and the smooth flow of ships, trade, and supplies, in accordance with international law, while preserving the sovereign rights of all countries bordering the Gulf waters.
The ministers emphasized the importance of continuing joint work, prioritizing political and diplomatic solutions, and creating favorable conditions for building trust and reaching acceptable solutions for all parties.
