حقق المنتخب السعودي للفيزياء 5 جوائز دولية في أولمبياد الفيزياء الدولي (IPhO 2026)، الذي أُقيم في مدينة بوكارامانغا بجمهورية كولومبيا خلال الفترة من 4 إلى 12 يوليو 2026م، بمشاركة 381 طالباً وطالبة يمثلون 87 دولة.
وحصل الطالب محمد عبدالرحمن العرفج من الإدارة العامة للتعليم بالمنطقة الشرقية على ميدالية فضية، فيما حقق كل من محمد محمود الرمل من الإدارة العامة للتعليم بالمنطقة الشرقية، ورضا سالم الخميس من الإدارة العامة للتعليم بمحافظة الأحساء، وحسين حبيب الصالح من الإدارة العامة للتعليم بمنطقة الرياض، 3 ميداليات برونزية، فيما حصل الطالب ناصر هشام الشائع من الإدارة العامة للتعليم بمنطقة الرياض على شهادة تقدير.
وجاء هذا الإنجاز بعد رحلة تدريبية متقدمة خاضها الطلبة ضمن برنامج موهبة للأولمبيادات الدولية، بدأت بالمشاركة في أولمبياد العلوم والرياضيات الوطني «نسمو»، مروراً بسلسلة من الملتقيات والبرامج التدريبية المتخصصة، وصولاً إلى مرحلة التدريب المكثف، بإشراف نخبة من الخبراء المحليين والدوليين.
وأوضحت مؤسسة الملك عبدالعزيز ورجاله للموهبة والإبداع «موهبة»، أن رصيد المملكة في أولمبياد الفيزياء الدولي ارتفع، نتيجة هذه المشاركة، إلى 8 ميداليات فضية، و26 ميدالية برونزية، و23 شهادة تقدير، في إنجاز يُضاف إلى سلسلة النجاحات التي تسجلها المملكة في المحافل العلمية العالمية.
ويعكس هذا الإنجاز تميز الطلبة السعوديين وقدرتهم على المنافسة في واحدة من أعرق المسابقات العلمية الدولية، ويجسد أثر الشراكة الإستراتيجية مع وزارة التعليم في بناء منظومة وطنية لاكتشاف الموهوبين ورعايتهم وتمكينهم، وإعدادهم للمنافسة عالمياً في مجالات العلوم والابتكار.
ويُعد أولمبياد الفيزياء الدولي (IPhO) أحد أعرق المسابقات العلمية العالمية لطلبة المرحلة الثانوية في مجال الفيزياء، إذ يجمع بين اختبارات نظرية وعملية تقيس الفهم العميق للمفاهيم الفيزيائية، والقدرة على التحليل والتجريب، ويتيح للطلبة فرصة التنافس العلمي، وتبادل الخبرات مع نخبة المواهب الشابة من مختلف دول العالم.
The Saudi Physics Team achieved 5 international awards at the International Physics Olympiad (IPhO 2026), which was held in Bucaramanga, Colombia, from July 4 to 12, 2026, with the participation of 381 students representing 87 countries.
Student Mohammed Abdulrahman Al-Orfaj from the Eastern Province General Education Department won a silver medal, while Mohammed Mahmoud Al-Raml from the Eastern Province General Education Department, Rida Salem Al-Khamis from the Al-Ahsa General Education Department, and Hussein Habib Al-Saleh from the Riyadh General Education Department each earned 3 bronze medals. Additionally, student Nasser Hisham Al-Shaiah from the Riyadh General Education Department received a certificate of appreciation.
This achievement came after an advanced training journey that the students underwent as part of the Talent Program for international Olympiads, starting with participation in the National Science and Mathematics Olympiad "Nasmo," followed by a series of specialized meetings and training programs, culminating in an intensive training phase, supervised by a select group of local and international experts.
The King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Talent and Creativity "Mawhiba" stated that the Kingdom's tally in the International Physics Olympiad has increased, as a result of this participation, to 8 silver medals, 26 bronze medals, and 23 certificates of appreciation, in an achievement that adds to the series of successes recorded by the Kingdom in global scientific forums.
This achievement reflects the excellence of Saudi students and their ability to compete in one of the most prestigious international scientific competitions, embodying the impact of the strategic partnership with the Ministry of Education in building a national system to discover, nurture, and empower talented individuals, preparing them to compete globally in the fields of science and innovation.
