وقَّع مركز الملك سلمان للإغاثة والأعمال الإنسانية اليوم برنامجًا تنفيذيًا مشتركًا لتنفيذ مشروع التمكين الاقتصادي للمرأة الريفية في الجمهورية العربية السورية، وذلك ضمن مبادرة «بذرة»، بالتعاون مع برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي (UNDP)، يستفيد منه 520 فردًا بشكل مباشر، و284,320 فردًا بشكل غير مباشر.
ووقّع البرنامج من جانب المركز مساعد المشرف العام للعمليات والبرامج المهندس أحمد بن علي البيز، ومن جانب برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي مساعد الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة المدير الإقليمي للدول العربية الدكتور عبدالله الدردري، وذلك في مقر المركز بالرياض.
ويهدف البرنامج إلى تعزيز سبل العيش وتحقيق التمكين الاقتصادي للمرأة الريفية من خلال إعادة تأهيل وتجهيز مراكز إنتاج متعددة الأغراض، مزودة بوحدات للتصنيع الغذائي، وأنظمة لتدوير المخلفات الزراعية (الكمبوست)، وأكشاك للتسويق، إلى جانب حلول للطاقة المتجددة، بما يوفر بيئة مناسبة للإنتاج والتدريب، فضلًا عن تنفيذ برامج لبناء القدرات الفنية والريادية والقيادية للنساء الريفيات، وتزويدهن بالأدوات والمعدات اللازمة لبدء الأنشطة الإنتاجية، بما يسهم في تعزيز فرصهن الاقتصادية وتحسين مصادر دخلهن.
ويأتي ذلك في إطار الجهود الإنسانية والإغاثية التي تقدمها المملكة عبر ذراعها الإنساني مركز الملك سلمان للإغاثة، لدعم الشعب السوري الشقيق؛ بما يسهم في تمكين الأسر الريفية وتحسين مستوى معيشتها.
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center signed today a joint executive program to implement the economic empowerment project for rural women in the Syrian Arab Republic, as part of the "Seed" initiative, in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). This project will directly benefit 520 individuals and indirectly benefit 284,320 individuals.
The program was signed on behalf of the center by the Assistant Supervisor General for Operations and Programs, Engineer Ahmed bin Ali Al-Bayez, and on behalf of the UNDP by the Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations and Regional Director for Arab States, Dr. Abdullah Al-Dardari, at the center's headquarters in Riyadh.
The program aims to enhance livelihoods and achieve economic empowerment for rural women by rehabilitating and equipping multi-purpose production centers, equipped with food processing units, agricultural waste recycling systems (composting), marketing kiosks, in addition to renewable energy solutions, providing a suitable environment for production and training. It also includes implementing programs to build technical, entrepreneurial, and leadership capacities for rural women, supplying them with the necessary tools and equipment to start productive activities, thereby contributing to enhancing their economic opportunities and improving their income sources.
This initiative is part of the humanitarian and relief efforts provided by the Kingdom through its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, to support the brotherly Syrian people; contributing to empowering rural families and improving their living standards.
