The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Sudan, Mohiuddin Salem Ahmed Ibrahim, signed today at the ministry's headquarters in Riyadh the document establishing the Saudi-Sudanese Coordination Council.

Cooperation and Coordination

The establishment of the council comes from the two countries' keenness to elevate the level of cooperation and coordination between them, making the council an effective institutional platform to develop and enhance bilateral relations, and an institutional framework that brings together the relevant parties from both sides to work on tangible outcomes through clear initiatives, projects, and targets, thereby enhancing cooperation and integration, and achieving the aspirations of the leaderships and peoples of the two brotherly countries.

Discussion of Developments

Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah received today at the ministry's headquarters in Riyadh the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Sudan, Mohiuddin Salem Ahmed Ibrahim.

Following the reception, the Foreign Minister and the Sudanese Foreign Minister chaired a meeting of the Follow-up and Political Consultation Committee between the two countries, during which they reviewed bilateral relations and ways to develop and enhance them in various fields, in addition to discussing regional developments and exchanging views on them.

Both sides affirmed their commitment to continue working to strengthen bilateral relations and joint cooperation in various fields.

Attending the meeting were the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Republic of Sudan, Dr. Zaid bin Makhlid Al-Harbi, and the Director General of the General Administration for Council and Committee Secretariats, Engineer Fahd Al-Harthi.
