نجح فريق طبي متعدد التخصصات بمستشفى الأمير محمد بن ناصر بجازان في إنقاذ حياة شابة في العقد الثاني من عمرها، بعد تعرضها لضعف حاد ومفاجئ في عضلة القلب أدى إلى تدهور خطير في حالتها الصحية وتهديد مباشر لحياتها.
وأوضح الفريق المعالج أن المريضة نُقلت إلى العناية المركزة في حالة حرجة، إذ استدعت حالتها وضعها على جهاز التنفس الصناعي وتقديم جرعات عالية من الأدوية الداعمة لعضلة القلب والمحافظة على ضغط الدم، نتيجة إصابتها بفشل قلبي حاد ومتسارع. وبفضل الله، ثم بسرعة التشخيص والتدخل الطبي المبكر، تم اتخاذ قرار استخدام تقنية الأكسجة الغشائية خارج الجسم (ECMO)، التي أسهمت في دعم وظائف القلب والرئتين وإتاحة الفرصة لعضلة القلب للتعافي واستعادة وظائفها تدريجياً.
وشارك في علاج الحالة فريق طبي متكامل ضم مختصين في العناية المركزة وأمراض القلب والتخدير وطب النساء والولادة وجراحة الأوعية الدموية، إلى جانب فريق الإيكمو، إذ عمل الجميع بتناغم وعلى مدار الساعة لمتابعة الحالة واتخاذ القرارات العلاجية المناسبة وفق أعلى معايير الرعاية الصحية.
ويعكس هذا الإنجاز الطبي أهمية التكامل بين التخصصات المختلفة في التعامل مع الحالات الحرجة، كما يبرز الدور الحيوي لتقنية الإيكمو في إنقاذ المرضى الذين يعانون من فشل حاد في وظائف القلب أو الرئتين عندما لا تحقق الوسائل العلاجية التقليدية الاستجابة المطلوبة.
وقد تكللت الجهود الطبية– بفضل الله– بنجاة المريضة وتحسن حالتها الصحية بشكل ملحوظ، لتغادر المستشفى وهي تتمتع بحالة صحية مستقرة.

A multidisciplinary medical team at Prince Mohammed bin Nasser Hospital in Jazan succeeded in saving the life of a young woman in her twenties after she experienced a sudden and severe weakness in her heart muscle, leading to a serious deterioration in her health and a direct threat to her life.
The treating team explained that the patient was transferred to the intensive care unit in critical condition, as her situation required her to be placed on a ventilator and given high doses of medications to support heart function and maintain blood pressure, due to her suffering from acute and rapidly progressing heart failure. Thanks to God, and then to the rapid diagnosis and early medical intervention, a decision was made to use Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) technology, which contributed to supporting the functions of the heart and lungs and provided the heart muscle with the opportunity to recover and gradually restore its functions.
A comprehensive medical team participated in treating the case, including specialists in intensive care, cardiology, anesthesia, obstetrics and gynecology, and vascular surgery, along with the ECMO team, as everyone worked in harmony around the clock to monitor the case and make appropriate treatment decisions according to the highest healthcare standards.
This medical achievement reflects the importance of integration among different specialties in dealing with critical cases, and it highlights the vital role of ECMO technology in saving patients suffering from acute heart or lung failure when traditional therapeutic methods do not achieve the desired response.
The medical efforts were crowned—with God's grace—with the patient's survival and a noticeable improvement in her health condition, allowing her to leave the hospital in a stable health state.
